dear all
i dont know if any of you have any idea about this, but i believe that one of the reasons the phone price differs in various regions is the CPU speed. it is supposed to be 322 Mhz, which, together with other featurs, make the phone worth 1000USD. my one, in asia, is sround 200USD less, and the CPU speed is only 206 Mhz. can anyone let me know about this?
hi i have just got this handset not had time to look at it but was wonderin if its worth keeping as i hav 14 days to return it. an is it true about the battery life that its really crap
i think reading on gsm arena that if persons are wanting a loud fone the best one is moto e398..thats it subject over.. why ,, because loudness is not priority as much as quality for example speech ,,if the person on the other end can hear your conversation and you can hear theirs with ease and clarity thats wat counts..
Also you can just add a set of mini speakers either passive or battery powered to increase volume..Either way you are not going to get massive bass or disco type volumes,, my o2 x3 was loud but it was very shrill and could have caused tinnitus which is not wat you want
This discussion and all others goes to show that shops should have a fully functioninig model to play around with and then it could be sold on cheap as ex demonstration like they do with teles etc,,its a superb idea but never followed up..They could do it under supervision with you having an hour pre-booked to fully exploit the functions and the only thing left to try is battery time.
"The handset houses two stereo-speakers placed on either side of the casing. The volume they put up is slightly above average, but in terms of sound quality they are far behind Nokia 6233, and don’t sound too loud, being a tad quieter than those on Nokia N73. Even though you may give it a go and use the phone as a pocketable juke box, it won’t make much sense, as with volume turned full blast you will surely notice sound distortions."

BTW, iPhone will be delayed according to Apple. Less competition for N95? There has been rumours the iPhone's battery is as bad as that in N95...
Businessweek April 13, 2007:
"iPhone: Harder to Build than Apple Thought"
6233 is louder than N73 and N73 is louder than N95!! Read guys! There are reviews on web..read them!
now i know why people are asking about speaker loudness ,, there all going out on the streets with these things as mini ghetto blasters..Well i say bring back these days of the boombox as i still collect them but day by day firms are not releasing them.
hey hans thanks for the reminder. actually i am really decided to get this phone this end of the month, though price is really expensive.. so i will wait a little more longer when the better version comes out... and price drops...
This is my 2nd replaced N95 handset.the first one had wobbling slider and used to switch off itself when connected to laptop and used as a modem. And this one freezes whenever i get a phone call while listening to music.Have to take battery off to put it back to function. My advice to people who are looking to buy this handset is to wait untill these problems get fixed so that they can a good problem free phone and would definitly be at a cheaper price from now.
n73 is louder just by a small bit then it would be n95 and then 6233
I can confirm that the N95 GPS works offline. It does not need cellular network connection to give you a GPS reading.
so the N95 will work in the middle of the ocean, or the Sahara desert. of course note that there are no maps for the sahara desert! and even if there were, the whole screen would all be yellow.
so the N95 is not similiar to the Toshiba 904.
i just recieved the N95... best handset nokia have ever producted... only downside camera speed
i love this nokia n95 it good nothings wrong through who want to buy just buy it good.
i think n95 is a great phone, but i havn't but it already..eversince the n95 was release by nokia,it gets my attention becoz of its features.i think its pretty cool compare to other cellphones..,ryt?!?having this kind of phone is not easy, ofcurs of its value,,its too expensive, but its a great phone i must say..people always makes a bad comment about this phone is i think they can't afford this stuff,,i guess..LOL..so anybody who hav the chance to have this phone,,get it,what have you got to loose anyway?..

Here is a 'proper test' of the battery life.
"But the end result, a device that worked to the end of a long day, albeit without that much charge to spare, shows that some of the damning criticisms of the N95's battery life are somewhat premature."
