I'm currently using a Nokia 6280, which I've been very happy with. Takes good photos, (2Meg), and very good video, (640x480 15fps). I wanted to upgrade to one which had at least the same capabilities. Surprisingly the only phones I could find with the same video resolution were the Nokia 6288 (replaces the 6280), Nokia N93 and Nokia N95. These last two are capable of 640x480 at 30fps. It was a bit of a no brainer. My N95 arrives on Tuesday. My only major concern is the stories of it constantly crashing, but I have 14 days to return it if I'm not satisfied. Was this a problem with early software. Has anyone got one recently? Does it crash a lot?
I now have to decide on a memory card do I go for a Sandisk 2Gb Ultra II microSD or the non-Ultra II. Does anyone know if there's a noticeable difference in performance?

The N95 - what is it???.....Well....i'll tell ya shall I???........ITS.....just a FLAMING GREAT phone from NOKIA(at last)!!!! I have been using mobile phones for over 20yrs now......and have nearly always been a Nokia fan using the O2 network....previously BT Cellnet.....and have to say that for the last few years, Nokia aint been doin to well in the mobile world.......with their phones not being as good as others in many aspects......ie: (when compared to S.E., Samsung, LG etc) and believe me.......i know cause i have tried em all.......but now.......well....let me tell all you so called "Aficionado's" out there.........this phone.......the N95 has brought NOKIA back into the running with a huge great big "BANG" and not only that........with the built in GPS SAT NAV features......it wont take you long to track down the big noise and find one in your nearest MOBY SHOP.......AND BLOODY BUY ONE.........NOW!!!!!........trust me..........one of the best phones i've used in YEARS!!!!......Thanks NOKIA!!!!
Lol, Andy, you got done then!! I work at an O2 store and we have been doing them on upgrade or new on whatever length contract you want and pricematch them free on a £40 a month tariff!!
Thanks Haider, I just have to point out something. Does Quality wise mean how clear the sound is ? Because are you sure in terms of Quality Wise the Nokia N95 comes in last place ? It has 3D music. Also is it louder than the Nokua N80 in terms of loudness ?
I bought one of rmy wife on thursday on orange for £50 with a £40 12 month contract. O2 wanted 129 for upgrade and 35 a month for 18 months. I have a nokia 9300i and I am now seriously jealous of her until i can get an upgrade for myself. This phone is awesome, it is quick, intuitive, picks up wlan dead easily, the software is snappy, the pc hook up is seamless, the menu and navigation is a lot more intuitive than i ever remember. The sound is clear. The build quality is good (I have bought sa plastic case) The video pictures are great and so are the photos. Unless you are very fussy then this could easily replace your point and shoot. if i was taking a special picture then i would still use my canon, but this is great for capturing moment sthat you would otherwise miss. So far I would definitely recomend this.
steady!! I like sony but they use the old type of video..none of theirs up to now is as good as nokia..i dunno...just reading up on the n93 and reviews aren't great...might have to keep it for now and wait to see what else comes out...
morning Lyn...don't u think the n93 might b a bit too big for a woman!dnt take my coment in the wrong way plz :) they are talkin of the SE codename 'Sofia' aka k850 to be released this year with 5mp camera.
has anyone been able to compare video on the n93 and n95..is there much difference?
if nokia will gona put a touchscreen and large the screen this mobile is gona be perfect
yes u can minimise the application by pressing the menu key n openn it by pressing the menu key for 2 sec
I just saw this phone on engadgetmobile.com shows a picture it's in chicago and new york nokia store. I think T-mobile has this phone in europe now and hopefully T-mobile will get it for the USA market. They probably will in the future if Europe T-Mobile has this phone. If so, the price will be much cheaper with a contract with Tmobile and also just wait for about 6 months or so because it will be much cheaper. By then they will probably come out with something more advanced! I think this phone is a upgrade of the Nokia N80 phone which is a wonderful phone as well too, but that's my opinion! :)
TO ali, I just sold my TyTN to buy the N95!!! Ditch the tytn and buy the n95.
