i just wanna know does dis phone support flash player to watch videos at youtube.com ?
Just wanted to let you know about the Nokia N95 Sat Nav function.
The software that is preloaded uses both GPS (that is free) and GPRS (that has Data charges). The software uses GPS to position itself and then downloads the Maps (using GPRS) on the route you are following.
I guess there is a real danger that customers on other Networks that use the function - but don't have a data package on there account, will be charged heavily and not aware of this!!
wow i have never seen a phone with such high ratings on this site b4 ... go nokia
The data charges incurred when using the maps is also a very important point:
The Nokia N-95 does not work like the usual Sat Nav devices, where the entire UK map is loaded onto the device permanently. Rather with the Nokia N-95, the customer will need to download maps, page by page, which will incur GPRS charges for each page.
Data Support tested the device yesterday and confirmed this.
As detailed below, if customers do not have data bundles on their account, it is quite probable that GPRS charges will be substanital, especially for long journeys.
yes you can use gps when there is no network coverage. make sure the phone is not in offline mode and you set up the phone while u have network service.
Maps for US can be downloaded from the n95 support site or alternatively use the maps software provided in the software CD provided with your handset.
I think the earpiece that came with the package is horrible, and probably the thing that's causing the hissing sound.
The MP3 sounds awful with that earpiece, but perfectly fine with my other headphones.
elo sirs hehe would like to know a few things about the phone if you dont mind hehehe
can the phone's camera be used discreetly?
I mean can you turn off the cam sound? how about the video light? can you turn it off while taking videos?
heheh usually the nseries cant be used discreetly so you cant use it to goof with people hopefully this one would be able to heheheh^_^
NOKIA PLEASE TAKE NOTE.
There is a hissing noise coming from the earpiece speaker when you are on a call.
Also when using the loudspeaker.
Please address this in the first Software/Firmware Update.THANK YOU.
The n95 seems blighted with issues! somebody mentioned the n95 as being the flagship phone for nokia for 2007...I partly agree. As mentioned, I think Nokia might release an 'i' edition. pity to us, who already own one!
anyone had a k750, a d600, 8310....these were genuine flagship....
as a matter of fact can anyone point me towards the flagship phone of samsung n SE for 2007? am more than willing to consider my upgrade options!
I don't like the way the video calling camera on the front sticks out from the casing,it should have been more like the N73 which is fitted flush to the casing.
hi sara! thanks for your reply. i used to own an n70 and i really enjoyed the function of the secondary camera as i can use it to see myself when i take personal photos. but i bought a 7390 unit and it still has a secondary camera but it can't be used same way with the n70. it can only be used for video calls that's why i want to make sure that the secondary camera of n95 is just the same as n70 or n73.
is there anyone here who can confirm? thanks a bunch! :)
Not sure why you need to down load the maps unless you are outside the UK as mine was supplied with the UK map pre installed on the 1Gig memory card in the box! For foreign maps. I don't have a problem getting maps if I need as you have to pay for them even with TomTom unless you have already paid for a European version with western Europe included. That is not cheap either. The map you have is almost free... If you have paid for an upgrade and look at the spec I really don't think you would get a satnav for the same price and the same spec. If you really want full european maps why not buy TomTom and install that on the phone and use its built in GPS reciever?
As for the camera comments. OK 5Mp is a bit much for such a small size sensor so there will be some noise. But it is as good as many compact cameras and the picture quality is fine. I have had a Sony K750i and it was also OK but did have a slight blue cast to most of the images. If you really are looking for picture quality then buy a digital SLR! I do take photo's which get published and for apoint and shoot camera the picture quality is good. How many use the camera for more than quick snaps? I really dont think it ever gets used as a main camera for holidays! It does exactly what it needs to do. There are compact cameras which have worse picture quality out there and I think some are critical of the image to a level which is above the use of a compact. Things like apperture and shutter prioity as well as spot metering are the level you need to get perfect images.
If you think the picture quality is poor why not post a comparison image and say why it is not up to your standards. In most cases it is usually user issues where they take photos in conditions which any camera would have problems.
I think the N95 has more than fulfilled my expectations with both the GPS and the camera!
So far my N70 and N73, I can use the font camera to take picture. But it is only a VGA camera (for data transfering purpose). I dun see why N95 can't do it.
I am planning to buy N95 phone very soon, and I want to know if it have the same problem like the N73 (Hanging, delaying, Etc.)?
Is the GPS satiable enough?
What happened if you are connected to GPS and you receive a call, would the GPS continue working if I have a call.
i think this is the best phone 4 2007 and for the other vendor was sucks if they dont have a symbian phone...hip..hip hurayyyy
Hi guys I hope you could help me with this:
I just wanted to ask if the second camera can be used to take pictures as well (like a mirror function) or is it just like the 7390 wherein you can only use the 2nd camera for video calls? pls reply right away i'd really appreciate it, thanks so much! :)
