hi im from australia. had a telstra rep come into our shop who said telstra might bring it out, or might not test it as its not a next g phone (he heard 2 confliciting statements). aniwaiz it'll be cheaper on the other networks which will come out some time in march in aus. i recommend not to buy it online as it mite be a beta version.
p.s. whoever comments next is a jackass
Hey dude. Its a GRREAT Phone.Lite weight, heavy features.I think, the ratings which it has got,are the HIGHEST ever for any handset on GSMarena.com.But,few things, that are missing are:
1)No DVB-H TV broadcast receiver(which is even there in N77)!
2)No Touchscreen.Would hav been better,if given.
3)Dual-slide may not be very comfortable to use.Let's see!
Otherwise,ITS THE BEST PHONE,TILL DATE!!
The Carphone Warehouse in their buyers guide have rthe phone down as
£29.99 for the handset on Orange on a £75 per month contract for 18 months. 15000 any network minutes and 300 texts.
£29.99 for the handset on o2 on £70 per month 18 month contract. 1500 any network minutesn and 500 texts.
So quite an expensive phone.
Oh and handset only is £499.99
I phoned NOKIA last week and they said they are cancelling the N95, co's of software problems, thanks bye
There will never be any software problem if you get the nokia software updater
Just read on www.nokiablog.om that the gprs maps my not be usable at all an that the vidoe a music output might be mono instead of steroe,an with the price of the N95 not many people will be buying this mobile as its a bit to expensive for those who just use there mobiles for talking an texting,an the battery on the N95 is not great an will need charging everyday if you are using the mobiles music an camera plus radio functions an thats another thing Nokia should have thought about before producing the N95 with all the functions on it how long can it last but they haven"t thought about that at all why?
Phone is currently available on pre-order at the carphone warehouse as handset only for £499.965, have not recieved any stock as of yet tho
all n-series phones give software problems. how can nokia launch a phone with gps if they cant even design a phone without software problems. if you want a good phone, buy a samsung - no software issues
jackie mtn south africa
no one can blame the battery life of this phone...this is a good performance phone so of cos the battery life will $ucks!...but think of a good performance car like ferrari or watever, do you think their fuel consumption is low???!!!...use ur brain to think instead of ur a$$
THis phone is taking waaaayyyyyyy to long to be released. I am tempted to just go and buy somethng else, like the o2 orbit or SE k800i.
But the thing is, no phone out at the moment is anywhere near as good as this thing. Looks like we are all just going to have to be extremely patient.
What I've been told at work (I work for Nokia Retail) is that the first batch have been shipped to UK as of 14th feb, and is likely to hit our stores (Nokia stores (ex Mobile Phones Direct)) on 20th of March, priced £499.99 (GP of which is about £60, so it's not likely to go down in price for a long while - I would even expect the price tag to go up but about £50 upon arrival, just because retailers CAN)...
...I have also been told Carphone Warehouse are scheduled for stock in their first delivery in April, O2 are due just after. I should imagine that Phones 4 U will follow suit, but I've not been told for sure on that one.
...But then the people at the top are ambiguous as ever, it wouldn't surprise anyone if it wasn't available 'til June!
can anyone tell me how the gps system works? if i were to buy this phone on ebay when it comes out, would i have a problem using the gps (considering i bought it from an over seas buyer, e.g. from hong kong and i am in australia)? please let me know! thanks!
Read your posting below on GSMArena.
I live in The OC and was wondering where exactly in Westminster you saw the N95 so I can go look at it too? What is the name and address of the store?
Also, do you know how much the store in Westminster will charge for the N95 once they get them in stock?
Please post the answer on GSMArena. Appreciate it.
Thank you very much
The phone will be sold out within the first month like every other hyped gadget.
The manufactorers do it on purpose, classic demand and need tactics. If they know the phone is in demand they underproduce then the hype for the phone becomes greater creating more demand for the product.
This has to be the most hyped and advanced phone in the last 5 years. Nokia havent released a decent phone for years, one thats got the technology but isnt a brick. They have surpassed themselves with this!
I have only seen it for sale at http://www.findamob.com in the UK but they have limited stock, O2 are releasing it on the 17th March. Whatever happens no one on here will be able to get it for months!
Apart from me who already has it!
