Any firm such as www.mymarket-online.com has to be considered suspect when they only take wire transfers. no paypal or credit cards accepted where you have recourse. I have the N73 witch I love but will buy the N95 when it is released and shows available on GSM Arena
To Adrienne: yes it is a big deal. Humanity is looking for the ultimate communication device. The world has become a smaller place. We can make the world a better place through better communication and understanding. Enter the N-series: the ubiquitous communicator with a mandate to help humanity solve problems. Each N-series phone has its strong point eg the N73 is great on photography, the N93 is videocentric, the N91 is musiccentric etc. So not all N-series are the same. To Carl: HTC cannot match the multimedia capabilities of the N-series especially the N95 which is the quintessential all-rounder. There is no HTC mobile phone that has video recording at VGA(30fps) and a 5MP camera.
is it really that big of a deal... all n series are the same.. it depends on the user.. if u cul like maximize its use duh!!
Best phone ever?! Why is that? It does nothing HTC phones have been able to do for years. Dull run of the mill Nokia does it again.
A question for lgcW billy.
Please, Did you really got to buy a N95 to
mymarket-online.com?, When? Did you receive it?
Will this work ok in the Sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine?
diz is quite the perfect phone..the memory'z 2 GB, the camera 5 MP..the two way slide is an awesome feature..but, juzt one question..can it edit photoz n videos like N93 n N93? if it could..im gonna so but thiz phone..if possible..btw, when is it sold worldwide?..im waiting..hehe..
To BJD: how can you dislike a phone you haven't even tested?? Maybe you're doing too much BJDing!!! To Stevenphoneman: can you prove what you're claiming about Nokia sending you 50 phones (of which you had to return 49 faulty ones) is true because it sounds like a heap of heavy duty BS!! Looking seriously at this offering by Nokia, I am worried about the phone's reliability. I and other users have already had serious problems with the N93 and its softwear. I hope the delay in availability is because Nokia are thoroughly testing the phone. The one thing we don't need is an expensive phone that is unreliable. A phone that freezes, hangs, autoshuts off etc. It is puzzling why Nokia should put a 5MP camera in a phone without including a Xenon flash. This is after all the complaints by professional and amateur reviewers about the N73 and N93 phones' poor indoor and dim-light performance. Do Nokia want us to take decent pictures or not? How come this phone doesn't support stereo Bluetooth(A2DP)? This is supposed to be a modern phone. Motorola have the foresight to put A2ŠP in far cheaper phones. The two-way slider: let's hope it's stable. I just wish they had put all this high spec into a candy-bar form-no hinges, no slides. For a high-tech phone the size and weight are OK. I hope the phone comes in black. N-series phones look better that way: it gives them a touch of class!
Beware about www.mymarket-online.com, it's ABSOLUTELY FAKE !!:
1) I got intouch with them on January 12th.
2) I ordered and transfered the payment them for a N95 and sending them document confirming the transfer on Janury 15th.
3) They comfirmed the reception of the money on January 16th and announced I would receive the tracking number next day in the morning (January 17th).
4) I've never got any new, answer, etc... more from them, desipte I've sent them MANY emails.
5) I've verified they didn't have problems
to send and receive emails.
SO, ONCE MORE, BEWARE !! I HOPE THEY RECEIVE THE CORRESPONDING PUNISHMENT.
The dimensions of N95 are great, fits really nicely in your pocket, though it's a bit heavier than you'd think... and the idea of the sliding cover is otherwise OK, but it makes the phone top-heavy, making it difficult to text or dial with one hand only (as I do).
Another thing that's a problem for females at least, are the media buttons sliding from the top (or left, depending on how you're holding it) of the phone -they can absolutely not be used smoothly with a bit longer fingernail on your left thumb... so girls, forget about those nice long nails if you're planning to get this phone...
The big screen is bright and precise, and the 5 mp camera is great wheather you want close-up macro photos or night-time shots. One of the best cameras in Nokia phones that I've seen, and it's not just the megapixels but the oh so handy auto-focus feature, something that many other phones with lots of megapixels do not have but should have!
i dont like this phone... i still love my nokia 5110... its the best phone ive ever had...
Looks gorgeous. Nokia are the best. Can't wait for this phone to be in my hands!
N95 are NOT available on the market yet and it will start shipping in big volumes from two factories (Europe/Asia) in march.
Why are you waiting for the N95 in the first place? It is because of this that Nokia could mark up the price tremendously! Plus...its been annouced for awhile, and you know how they never release it on the date that they said they would.
This phone is supposed to be Nokia's best creation yet, so they have to take the time to make the phone perfect...so just wait a little bit longer. Since its taking forever, might as well go read about the Apple iPhone, Motorola E6, LG Parada, LG Shine, etc. =)
Don't waste your time drooling over this phone every day. You'll die soon enough haha. It'll come when it comes.
whats missing - it doesn't have a xenon flash! from that i'm guessing it will probably have the same god awful nighttime photography as the n73 - the k8001 is much better for nightime photography thanks to the awesome flash (i'm not just saying it, check out http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/readreviews.php?id=1520).
Also 2GB memory isn't all that impressive next to the the latest in then sony walkman range, but with hot swappable you can cary other miniSD cards with you.
All I'm hoping is 1: GPS will have hands free (think about driving) and worldwide maps (i'm a frequent traveller) 2: Introduction of vista won't cause software probems, and hopefully there will be a platform for either iTunes or WMP.
