hi. iam new user for n95. and i found a way to extended standby and talk hour. I buy Batteray BL-6F (N95 8GB) and put to my cell phone. first i was confuse why my phone have no energy after i chargered the BL-6F for 5 hours. and i Foond that N95 is very sensitive about batteray so when i put BL-6F it wouldnt charge. The solution is, i buy desktop charger For BL-6F and Problem Solve! My N95 can Standby in UMTS mode for NONSTOP 3 DAYS! And in GSM mode can Until 6 Days. I can Play Video for 3 hours! But there is bad news, The back Cover Battray Cannot put In My N95 again Because The Bigger Batteray Has Full the Room of Back Battray Cover. But i have a problem Not yet Solved, The headset Is Poor Quality. What is the Best Headset For this N95? maybe like sennheizer PX-100 can Be Increase the quality of the sound? Thanks for read. helleye, 26 Jul 2009nokia site says that the memory is expandable only up to 2gb, but this site says its up to 8gb... moreupgrade up to 32gb...sadly i got n95 8gb, its awsome but no caRD slot...but still very nice...the king of all nokia mobile..very fast internet via wifi, cam very nive too
Munna, 30 Jul 2009n95 is almost nothing in front of 5800, only because it has 5 mp camera so its image quality i... morethe n95 can also excel.
the n95 is a camera smartphone, while the 5800 is a music smartphone.
Munna, 30 Jul 2009n95 is almost nothing in front of 5800, only because it has 5 mp camera so its image quality i... moreyou are wrong.
the n95 is still above the 5800. however, the 5800 is still good.
i own and used them both. i still use my n95 more than my 5800.
A, 28 Jul 2009I am used this phone for about an year and i can honestly say - IT SUCKS! I know that a lot of... moresince you think this mobile sucks, then your comment and opinion is pointless. you just showed how incompetent you are because some of your points are are incorrect.
The certificate issue is a safety precaution from harmfull attacks. expired certicates may or may not be harmful. i have some applications with expired certificates in my n95, and it still works fine.some n95 users have their n95's hack to install any applications.
THE N95 CAN TAKE A BIGGER MEMORY CARDS..UP TO 32 GB. I have 8 gb in my n95.
the gps is good. install google maps, aside from the nokia maps.
if the wifi doesnt have signal, then use the 3.5 g network . if there is no signal then simply move to an area where there is signal. mine always has a signal.
as a conclusion nokia's are well known for all-around smartphones. i have used several smartphones such as htc touch pro and the iphone....was not satisfied.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970im using both the n95 and the 5800. difference is the mp and touchscreen.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970n95 is almost nothing in front of 5800, only because it has 5 mp camera so its image quality is finer than that of 5800 otherwise it can't excel than 5800, Even the video quality of 5800 and n95 is same at 30 frames per second (VGA Sized).

I am used this phone for about an year and i can honestly say - IT SUCKS! I know that a lot of people would want to argue with me but really - what is so awsome about this phone! Firstly, you have to spent hours searching through forums so that you can find a way to crack the stupid certificate issue.
Secondly, after you fill up the memory about 50% the phone starts to work unbelievably slowly! Here is to mention that you can't put a memorycard bigger than 2 GB
3rd, the GPS - Oh my god, until it position itself! The last time i tried it it took me about 15 minutes and i was on a parking on the Highway(No obstacles i mean)
4-th, the Wlan - well it works fine when you have a strong signal but when i have for example 2-3 bars on my laptop(which's with crapy adapter) the phone hardly finds a network.
As a conclusion - i hope that i am the only one who experiences this kind of problems. I am using an HTC Hd at the moment, i i can honestly say - i am never turning back to Nokia with Symbian again.
Anonymous, 20 Jul 2009It breaks very easily
I have had it for less than a year it has broken 5 times
DO NOT GET ... morewhat cause for it to break 5 times?
hmmm...shows that you dont know how to care of it properly after getting it fixed.
THIS MOBILE HASNT BEEN DISCONTINUED. you could still buy it in stores or the NOKIA websites.
best all around mobile device.
helleye, 26 Jul 2009nokia site says that the memory is expandable only up to 2gb, but this site says its up to 8gb... moreIf it's a micro sdhc(high capacity) apparantely it can go up to 32 gb,although I've never heard of someone using a 32 gb card in this. I have a 4 gb card in mine, works fine.I would say an 8gb or 16 gb.
nokia site says that the memory is expandable only up to 2gb, but this site says its up to 8gb.. which is which...??
Well, if u are on UMTS network mode then one day is the maximum it can reach .. However if u are on GSM network mode then four days is the maximum it can withstand. My advice is if u are not using Video call or satelite internet-ing - keep to GSM mode unless u need them. Just like you need Wi-Fi when there's wireless access point if don't have then switch it off .
So good luck ...Lowering your display brightness , off wi-fi , turn to gsm mode, off screensaver and choose low definition display themes could help maximise your battery life
