You average people must've misunderstood what the propeller thing is all about. It's only a connotation. Imagine. If your camera smartphone slash multimedia computer can capture propellers in the dark, it means it can capture literally anything and everything at anytime. Darkness and blurriness are definitely not in N82's vocabulary. Now you get what I mean.
N82 fanboys are the most bias on this website, just ignore them:)
N95 8GB is the best!
These pages are really loosing their purpose. Aaron please dont spam. By now allmost everybody knows that N95 8GB and N82 are very similar but it is really pointless to repeat that N82 is better because you said yourself that their main differences are slider/candy bar form, xenon/led flash and screen size. OK, we get it, we allready knew that, your holy goal is achieved, now you can leave this forum and get a life. I mean, I plan to buy N95 8GB in a few weeks, I visit this site because I want to find out as much as I can about this phone from the people who own it for at least a year or so. I also visited N82 forum and unfortunatley there are much more complaints over there. That is all I need to know about N82. And I wonder have you ever used your N82 to make a single phone call, considering the time you spend on this forum, or are you just using it to shoot night pics?
propeller? do u think that people bought this phone just to shot a propeller? that proves wich one is da best? who cares on propeller? i love to take picture on a woman not a propeller..
propeller is not worth to take a pic.
want 2 know, 29 Apr 2009why u so obsesse wif n82? When i read all posting u always talk about n82...is it n82 hv good ... moreHe feels inferior with N82, that's why he's posting here to make him feel better:)
Aaron, 29 Apr 2009Oh! 6220c? As far as I know, the dual LED flash on N85 is still brighter than the Xenon flash ... morewhy u so obsesse wif n82? When i read all posting u always talk about n82...is it n82 hv good feature?
Oh! 6220c? As far as I know, the dual LED flash on N85 is still brighter than the Xenon flash on 6220c. N82's Xenon flash is much more worth it than any other single feature from the N95 and N95 8GB. You want N95, then buy N95 or N95 8GB. You want N95 plus a Xenon flash, then buy N82!
Other negative points about this phone:
The menu's are a bit long winded. You have to press 7 keys before you can start typing a text.
You can't assign individual text tones to contacts (not without downloading extra software)
The blutooth is a bit iffy. It has trouble finding certain makes of phones and can struggle to find the same phone on multiple scans.

man just one right...but that dint make the headlines.....and yes my ex phone noika 6220c had a much better flash i stil remeber my baby...haha...but to the point u know that the xenon is the only back bone of n82 and nothing else n82 was i guess released in pressure by nokia cuz people wanted xenon but nokia gave them n82 and they took other phones hehe
I have a lot of knowledge regarding cracked 3rd party applications, Symbian and Ngage games, cool themes with S60 prototype and Touch icons, as well as other mobile contents like full AVI movies. But I won't share it with N95 8GB users. I will only share it with N82 users. :-p
My phone does everything your N95 8GB does. Plus it also has an extraordinary power. As you have said it, it can shoot pictures of rotating propellers in total darkness and make them appear stationary. Does your N95 8GB also have an extraordinary power?
To the stupid xenon flash, you probably haven't followed my recent series of posts. Samsung indeed has one high end phone with Xenon. It's the G810. But their succeeding phones as well as those later phones from Nokia and SE have no Xenon flash. It is because mobile phone manufacturers will no longer incorporate Xenon flash into their products because a resolution has been passed on banning or discontinuing the use of Xenon flash both on mobile phones and DSLRs. N82 is one of a kind. The only Nokia phone that has both an OMAP2 chip and a Xenon flash. Something that will be remembered forever.
Okay - if anyone has some interesting apps that improve the look & performance & producitivity with N958gb please share. I'm a fan of Epocware Handy Shell, Y-Browser, Epocware Handy Weather, Foreca Weather Forecast, Photo Browser, LGC Jukebox, Shazam ID and BestBirthday.....If anyone found some great apps for S60 9.x - shot:)
propeller guy - sorry but this does not apply for you so disregard it and go play with xenon flash:))))
1 more thing,actually the phone fuction only for communication,but today,we can see,wth technology,we use phone,not just communicate..but,we can use for camera,music,wifi,tv,n ect,it's gd for our life. .
If we want more softwares for our phone,we will found it in Mobile9 n zedge. .but who know about it's,sometimes have people go to phone shop to buy the softwares for their phone,it loss. .
stupid xenon flash, 29 Apr 2009o come on man....u still stuck with xenon flash get real man no device from samsung whch is hi... morei think our boy here likes shooting propellers in the dark:) hehehehe
I enjoyed testing this unit out. I work for DOCOMO Pacific and coverage for 3g network is awesome. The phone features are awesome as well

When we speak of technical specifications, you can clearly see that there is no gap that separates the N82 and N95 8GB, unlike 3 years back when N73 was about 40 percent ripped off of the N93. How you wish there was a single feature that N95 8GB has that's missing on N82 to support your claim! Infrared maybe. But even the N97 hasn't got an infrared. When speaking of who's the daddy and who's the baby, it is the N97 and i8910 that comes to my mind. N97 is a total ripped off of i8910 save for the memory, as 5800 is a ripped off of N97. There should be several missing features and downgrades on a phone in reference to the other phone it is being compared to for it to be considered a ripoff or the light version of that phone. A flagship device should never have a less-capable camera than its ripoff. And it wouldn't be wise for Nokia to include all features of a flagship device to its ripoff.
Also i think the n958gb is the most proffessional looking smartfone on the market in its black colour its a pity the n96 was/is such a flop...I would like nokia to bring this back with bigger ram and 600mhz proccessor/3d graphics chip and card slot with vga screen and 1600ma battery and features of my n85..
