Does anyone know how to increase the time-out period for the keypad backlighting?
I am using N95(8GB).Itz faster and have a nice look. Can get attraction from everyone.Dz z better than N96. So be wise...Dnt go for N96.Itz useless.
I've owned this phone for almost a year.
Lost about 25 pictures. Have multiple scrapped pics to top that off... yes I use it as a camera.
I've had the hardest time transferring music to my phone - the computer software is crap for that and for over a month I haven't been able to use my music player.
Other than the 2 main components (that I bought it for) being crap, I have to say I love the speakers and the bigger screen (than what I consider being it's closest competitors)and just about every other applications on it.
The GPS works better than the iPhone’s (compared both side by side - N95 was faster and more accurate than iPhone)
I personally do not have an issue with the slider being loose or whatever was mentionned on other posts.
All in all, mostly everything in this phone works wonderfully and it is worth the buy. The camera quality is not the best within 5mp camera phones, pictures disappear from my phone, my music player was frozen and completely useless for a month or so and the computer software is just about useless.
I am getting a new phone. Nokia’s just not for me.
hy all i think this phone is great ive been using it for a few months now but i didint have any problems with it...... my opinion that is great .... and n96 ...shit....dont like the buttons and slow.... not worth it....
Very good mobile phone,more faster than n95..more ram..big screen..shiny..I give 9/10
see folks n95 is very good phones then n96 because n95 is very strong than n96 and its only the 16gb or what? i think the phones just look allike lol even due am in africa but i can still use it so why not you go for n95 .
Arman, 25 Jan 2009nokia n95 is abad phone .do not use it .everyone should use n96Hi! I just used N96 yesterday. No graphics chip, akward to hold in hand, strange button assigment, almost hangs in menus and gallery, poor battery and smaller screen compared to N95 8gb...Context menu needs almost 4 seconds to appear while on N95 8gb it happens in less than a second. I don't know mate - i tried it and i wouldn't switch N958gb with N96 - ever:) But only my opinion:) Everyone should try and compare before posting. Regards!
The barcode reader works just fine. But it depends which country you are from because most do not use this futuristic code format ! Here in Japan works like a treat. Now I can check prices on the go on items. It even sends you on the net to the company which manufactured the item you want to buy. Great :)
Does it work the barcode reader? can anyone help. and the sat nav on it, does it have to be proggrammed from a tomtom
Yep i love mine, i was tempted to sell and get a Sony 905, but i just can't let this phone go, it does the lot - what would be the benefit of getting the Sony? Apart from the camera? Nothing.
the best handset ever produced by nokia. simply awesome... been using it for almost a year. its completely bug free! the newbees have a lot of issues! i`ll stick with it for sure.
thesherminator, 23 Jan 2009well putty but how DO u use the barcode reader????
thesherminator, 23 Jan 2009Have you tried to press and hold the cameras shutter button for more than 2 secs. It is a safe... morethanx for the cinical answer, i'm sure we need as many of those as we can get:)Sorry to be asking, if it's too much trouble 4 u to answer why bother. I'm sure there are many people on gsmarena forums that can answer politely, but my suggestion to you is - don't answer if u don't have the answer. By the way the unit is back at Nokia service since they say it's a software mistake:( Regards!
clara, 19 Jan 2009I have 2 problems for this mobile, one is I can not look my phone book while talking with some... moreclara, you can indeed go through your "Contacts" list while talking with someone. While on the call, press the menu button and select contacts from there. Very easy.
Can't help with USB issues though... I'm not experiencing any.
