this is the first phone (n95 8gb) i have not been in a rush to get rid of when my contract is finished. I cant decide between n96 and innov8. But im not right bothered because this phone is quality. Video recording is second to none especially when viewed on the tv. Friends are like: "when did you get a video camera?" and the films save nicely onto ps3 via usb. Internet browsing is perfect, and fast, photo quality is brilliant, it gives perfect a4 prints. Who said it wasnt better than a k800? Its better than my old pentax digicam. It will run just about any app thrown at it and battery life is good. The casing wont scratch, screen is clear and good in the sun, god i could go on forever. This is comparable to some desktop pcs. 10 out of 10.
Best Specs. you could ever find in a mobile phone, im truly stratified with this nokia, ive been using since the day is was launched. I have no MP3 player, no digital camera, nor a PDA... I have Nokia N95 8GB. i have aroud 500 tacks on this nokia.ive been using N70 before.
Good job Nokia, and just saying no reason to upgrade to N96, waste of money if done. though Samsung Innova8 is nice.
Sampritz, 21 Sep 2008i am a nokia lover.. well i need to bow to the team for the efforts they put in all types of r... moreI Suggest you wait for the upcoming 'N85'
as it is a improvement over N95 8GB and is better overall then N95 8GB
and N85 has just as good Camera as N82
with the advantage of a strong slider and just better overall
i am a nokia lover.. well i need to bow to the team for the efforts they put in all types of reviews..so comming to my pint...i am stuck in between n95(8gb)and n82 for deciding which 1 to take..plz help me..here is what i found out of both..physically i feel slider is unstable than bar.. i a heavy caller..n i sms a lot too...my mind is inclined to n95(8gb)...but seeing the slider i am not able to decide...i have heard dat if n95 drops chances of screen cracking is there..n i like music...so n82 falls a bit low to n95(is hat true)...if i use a slider (kinda heavy use) cd the cell last for aroug 1yr8months...To all the Gizmo gurus...Please please help me decide..to say something do use my nickname.
Im planning to get my hands on a N95 8GB aswell, i like the N95 8GB more then the newer phones e.g. N85, N79. N96
Indeed a satisfying phone,im still contemplating getting this legend end of this year. :-)
This lady in the mall said to me that if an n95 8gb was made in china, its fake...where does the country of manufacture say on the back of your n95's?
Dont worry, although it lags, it's still usable. it doesn't freeze. but can't guarantee the same if there's alot of stuff tt u put into the 8GB memory though.
Hey can any body tell me that what does - Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate means?????
I'm using this phone for more than 6 months now and yes No doubt it's a stylish phone but as far as the features and price are concerned, than i think one should Go for N82 Instead because N82 has almost all the same features incorporated(infact with some extra features like: Xenon Flash & Auto Rotate) and thats too avaliable at a much lower price (except N95 8GB's dashing looks with 8GB Memory and its Big 2.8 Screen instead of 2.4).
All new phone have "HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps" except this one is only "HSDPA" is that mean it is not "3.6 Mbps"??
Dani , 19 Sep 2008N95 8GB has to be one of the most SATISFYING phones in the world....
who agrees?I agree 98%.....if ongly it had expandable memory....hummmn..i would be using it ryt now..
i also like that fact that its short giving the impresion that the screen is bigger than 2.8"...
This Computer should be awarded Phone of the decade!!!!!
N95 8GB has to be one of the most SATISFYING phones in the world....
Anonymous, 18 Sep 2008yes. it becomes slow when you fill up the entire 8gb spaceHow slow, is it still usable. in a sense does the phone freeze
This Phone is a really good piece of communication with entertainment. We usually use phone to communicate, and with added features it becomes more catchy, in my view this phone best as compared with other Nokia Phone(including N-96)............
I love my 958gb, but gotta say, pic wise, i'm happier with my old Sony K800i..esp noticable having just uploaded my '95 pics to my PC to view them..grainy and inconsistent..the 3.2 Sony takes much better pics, hate to say it..
Although quite a well thought of phone I personally find it an overated product. It can do very many clever things but essentially requires to be on-line which adds greatly to your monthly bill. The support software and documentation leaves a lot to be desired. Not like the old days when the supporting disc has all the information you need this device needs you to connect and download over 200 Mb of information which to be stored on your PC, the software is also clumsy and continually tries to upgrade even tho it does not need it. I have ditched it and taken up a cheap phone with a 70 GBP camera these two combined provide a better service. Probably would suit a young schoolgirl that likes pictures and videos.
