jasdeep narang, 11 Jun 2008can anyone tell/explain me how to use GPS and BARCODE READER on this phone. ThanksHeyy why don't you google this subject?!?! Took my .2 seconds to find an answer. You can access this website to make a barcode that the n95 can read. http://qrcode.kaywa.com/
I Love this phone, but it definitely has its limitations. It runs much better than my N95-1, however, I don't think the 8Gb of memory is really integrated very well, I think its just a Nokia 8Gb MicroSdHC thats not accessible because it runs so slow, transferring files to it goes painfully slow and I always have problems Ejecting it from my pc when I'm done transfering files. Also, when I shoot video, it lags sometimes. I think its because of the slow performing mass memory because it doesn't happen when I select the phone memory.

I believe the barcode reader isn't really for scanning normal barcodes. they're for the square-type barcodes normally found in japan i think. I've seen the demonstration of one. It can take the user to different places on the internet.
viki, 10 Jun 2008this is a stupid phone that have asmall screen ,shape, software this is not compared with iphon... morehahahahahahah
so you sold the most multi-functional phone on the market and bought an overpriced phone that can only do two things: watch movies and surf the internet?
let me guess, that touch screen was what made you buy it...
jaz, 11 Jun 2008i think its the best handset nokia has ever made. however, i m still waiting for the nokia n98... morejaz, the Nokia N98 doesn't exist. The N98 you saw is the result of someone doing a Photoshop job and making up its features (7.2MP camera with 8x optical zoom, 3.5" 540x480 VGA touch screen).
Now, a brief precis on the pros and cons of the N95 8GB.
- large screen
- 8GB internal mass memory
- auto-rotate function included
- sound quality is impressive
- each charge of battery lasts longer than N95-1
- plastic material feels a little cheap
- no camera lens cover
- no expandable memory
- 2cm thickness - a little too thick
Had this phone 1 week now.
During the last 2 months i have owned the se k750i, samsung armani, samsung u900 soul, all of these phones were crap. Texting a nite mare on the k750i cause buttons are raised, the armani was so slow it was annoying, the u900 ringing sound & listening to person on other end of phone was so quiet i could not hear them.
I updated the software the day i got this to the v 20.0.016, the phone works fast, i have had no software problems so far, the ringing volume & text alert are so loud i only have it on 5 & not the 7 max. I have downloaded the full picture id software, i could not get it to work on the free version so brought it from nokia site for £10, but im so pleased with it it was worth it. One of the things i like about nokia phones is you can always get themes for free & also make free themes on ownskin website so thats great. Battery last me 24-48 hours so not great but i have a car charger so i can charge whilst out if need be, otherwise i just put it on charge at home, so no big deal. Camera takes great pic's as well.
I will give this phone 9/10 at the mo.
Yes the phone is big but that suits me cause i feel like its safe in my hand, when too small i keep dropping them. The material is good too as it does not seems to scratch on the back cover as its a rubbery feel material.
Would be grateful if some1 can tell me if you can rename the themes cause the one's stored on my files will open but they keep re instaling, in the themes, general you can view & set them but can't seem to rename or move to my files, any1 know how pls!!!
can anyone tell/explain me how to use GPS and BARCODE READER on this phone.
i think its the best handset nokia has ever made. however, i m still waiting for the nokia n98 to be released and i m sure that my views may change after havin a look at it.
Too big can't put it on my pocket. Can't imagine how this looks like 5 years from now hahaha. It's a brick of a device! Who cares about the features?! I don't. There are other phones that have good features without sacrificing the size and design.
