I already use Nokia's phones from 1998. And have been use ~ 10 - 15 diferent handset and couple times Sony Ericsson hanset.
My view about Nokia not bad but also no good enough. Nokia so boring and little changes from 5 years time. Almost same and boring with bad battery life. But i can't to swich from Nokia to SE coz SE got simple, not advanced phone book. Just only this reason.
To have on hand SE realy cool!
Now i got Nokia N95 8GB and stil almost same to other Nokia handset. I also still in use Nokia N93i, and can't see many diference betveen both handset.
By the way i think SE got much better, brighter display even Nokia use 16M colors. For exmp.,SE W960, P1i got 256K colors. Battery life also got better SE, and a lot fun stuf.
1 day i will go 4 SE
NOKIA, DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR PRODUCT, IT'S SO BORING AND NOT GOOD!
its been a week since i m using this phone, till now its not troubling me. I switched this phone with my nokia N 72, the only problem I am getting is in signing the nokia s 90 third party applications, I have never experienced the signing issues with S 60 phones, if anyone has any clue plz help
I am using this phone for the last 2 months and i never faced any issue with it, i tried n number of 3rd party softwares on it and they all worked, as of now i have, fring, media safe, mobilegenie(answering machine), fullscreen caller, call recorder, google search, windows live, ebuddy and loads more, and the machine never hanged, i dont think any other phn can support all such applications, perfect phone, in the last 3-4 years i changed almost 30-40 phones and this one is the second phn after nokia 7710 which i like most, those who are complaining that about the phn either do not know how to use it or may be some of them do not have the phn even, but trust me its the real KING, do not think just go for it if can afford...
Just a quick note to all Canadians on Rogers out there. The phone version is 11.something.
The reason this is important is because it means you can download the proper "tweaking" software and install a Rogers-free firmware on the phone. I believe you can find instructions at the symbian-freak forum.
Pepsi, just because you make money does not make you a good salesperson. my teachers at school all make money but I can promise you that they're all awful.
Secondly if you were so keen to tell people the bad points about this phone to convince them from buying it, which is fair enough, then why "lie" to those you sell the phone to?
I sense a little hypocrisy.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Obviously i'm a good salesperson otherwise I wouldn't be making money and therefor wouldn't have a job, right?
A good salesperson will sell someone something even if they have to lie about how good it is or how bad it is. This site is a place for people to freely express their opinions without it affecting their real life.
People tend to just buy this phone because it has GPS and a nice camera and is the "latest model" which seems a little strange to me, having something which other people think is "cool" and fashionable is a sturdy basis which people use to buy things like this. I'm not saying don't buy this phone but I'm certainly not saying buy it either, but there is no need to come here and tell everyone how great the phone is without telling people the bad sides of it as well.
Anonymous, 27 May 2008The battery is fine, i don't know y every1 is complaining abt it, especially pepsi, who appare... moreAre you claiming I know everything about mobiles and therefor am right? Why thankyou how kind of you =)
Maybe your battery is fine because you don't use GPS, or the camera, or wifi, or surf the net... A phone battery can't possibly withstand a day if you do all this for hours on end maybe that's why people complain about the battery.
By the way.... The only kind of fail is an epic one. If someone fails they don't forget about it, therefor it's epic
Itseems so atractive to me,I would like to be sure if the G.P.S service will work in Egypt ?
I am wonder also how much it cost
This phone is really one of the best. I just wish that they used vga instead of qvga on their screen. Also, I wish they used more metal than plastic on this high end phone, and made it a little slimmer. It is a creaky phone. I'm looking forward to upgrade if and only if, they would address those issues. The N96 pretty much have identical specs w/ the N95, still qvga, and still lots of plastic materials. I don't think it's worth upgrading to the N96.
If the n95 8gb from rogers is causing a problem then return it and buy an unlocked one, then you are not bound by rogers vision plan for 3 years. Get the north american version ! If you live in toronto go to pacific mall.
The battery is fine, i don't know y every1 is complaining abt it, especially pepsi, who apparently knows everything abt mobiles. "Epic failure" is a bit much, i think.
Ok it says it has an accelormeter or whatever, but when ever I see a video of it, the person has to slide down the multimedia buttons. What's up with that?
@ gsm arena
please make reviews on the major drawbacks such as the durability, malfucntioning interface and various other problems with this phone, rather than just saying its the best of the best
I will get another one from Rogers(can) to confirm if most or all of the phones not that great.
I bought the Rogers(Canada) N95 8GB, this phone freezes so often that the phone will restart itself, if you pres any button or function twice before the phone responds it will restart. This particular phone sucks and please pardon my disapproval, i had high hopes B4 i got this phone, its possible that it its a problem with the handset and not all the phones i am in the process of returning it to Rogers
If the phone didn't freeze it would be a great phone there some applications will not work because the phone inability to process and execute, but the ones that work pretty well (WLAN,Camera, bluetooth, internet(on wifi)) all work well.
hi please can you tell me if the slider mechanism on the n95 8gb is good or not?
many of these phones are comming with a manufacutres faulty camera. i prefer not to buy this phone, instead a nokia n81 8gb is better.
filipinas has a point.
like me. from nokia 6600, i jumped to N95 and needs to rely on the manual. believe me, i have no idea how to use its WLAN and configure some of its setting so I go by the manual. maybe some of you don't read the manual since you are familiar with its UI but for those people who is noob like me, i need to read it and google some of my queries.
thanks for the heads up filipinas =)
I am a user of Nokia, i agree that Nokia's phones built quality is bad, joints will be loose just after few months of usage..plastic quality is bad compared to Sony Ericsson's phones..in my opinion Nokia's plastic feels kinda cheap looking too.....and Nokia's S60 OS....full of bugs...hangs and restarts occasionally.
