return of the king is right,i had the silver nokia N95,and loved it.when i heard nokia were releasing a new black version, whoppa.love the music player, camera and the slightly bigger screen even better.i work for a big phone company and rate this phone very highly.
even da "dedicated" cameraph0ne da sexy k850i 0ffers its users TRIBAND 3G!!!
i guess they tried ta CRAM every feature in da n95 8g EXCEPT f0r that 0ne, huh???
By the way, it's been confirmed that the new N95-4 uses the same firmware as the current N95-2: this means US users can use FlashLite 3, the enhanced search feature, along with overall quicker multimedia operation.
No more slow camera. No more slow gallery. And with demand paging all of the apps run much more efficiently.
Also, there are more and more online retailers that are accepting pre-orders for the N95-4, and, last but not least, the Nokia Flagship store in NY has these units in stock... But it will cost you if you want it first.
N95_8GB_fanatic - Yes there are 2 variants of the N95-8GB (N95-2 & N95-4).. The main difference being the 3G frequencies (ie 2100Mzh vs 850/1900Mhz). Unfortunately it's either one or the other, you can't have all 3 frequencies.. Nokia definitely shortchanged us on 3G, while all other high-end phone/pda manufacturers have long been using triband 3G.
So, if you're travelling to the US from Europe and/or Asia, you'll only be able to use the 3G from one or the other, not both. There is no way around this problem, other than getting a different phone which isn't made my Nokia.
Bad move Nokia.
i have this f0n for 4 m0nths. I dr0ppd it 5 times. The last i dr0ppd it is yesterday c0z it was accidentally dr0ppd fr0m a 4 feet high to a s0lid fl0or. T0o bad i scratchd my n95 8gb.. But w0w its stil w0rks just like n0thng happend. I pers0naly tested the quality of this f0n and i have to share it to y0u. Its a r0ck s0lid built for a hi end f0n like this. It l0oks fragile but its a r0ck build s0lid. I felt bad for s0me scratches at the back of the f0n. Anyways its stil a casing.ü
How are my fellow n95 8gb mates doing? Does anybody else need Rotate Me or Flipsilent "signed" applications?
If so, let me know!

Re: Hi people does this phone have a security code to stop friends and family from going thru it.
I have seen two types of locks on this phone: keypad lock and phone lock. The security code is known as the phone lock in the N95 8GB.
You can choose your phone lock code (security code) via: Menu> tools > settings > general >security > phone and sim card >lock code.
You can choose for the phone to Auto lock with the security code by choosing in this menu. “Phone Autolock Period”
You can manually lock the phone with the security code by pressing the power button at the top of the phone. This will bring up several options. The one we are interested in is the “Lock Phone”. Once this is selected you will be prompted to enter your Lock Code. After entering the code, press OK and the phone will be locked via the security code. To unlock the phone, press Unlock, enter your security code…… vuala!
i am trying to back my handset up so i can do a memory reset but how do i back up spiderman the movie so i can put it back on avterwards is there a special way to do it or just copy and paste it when it is plugged into a pc
my sister have N95 8G and i have Nokia N82. you know what when we try to compare the picture especially those pix taken during evening, the photo from N82 looks better than N95. maybe because of xenon flash. Another thing is, the BUilt in memory of N95 vs Memory card of N82. You know what if your N95 encounters a big problem especially to phone features that needs to reformat all your files will be deleted not unlike in N82 you can seperate the MMC then you can reformat your phone.
this phone is not really good compare to N82. As you can see, this is a slide up phone. wherein it can loosen evrytime you use it.
If you're a music nut then the memory on this won't come close to storing all your library. I've got a 30GB Creative Zen MP3 player and it's almost full, so this wouldn't scratch the surface.
Having said that, it's a stunning phone and does have a ridiculous amount of memory for what it is. Shame about the lack of a lense guard on the camera though.
i got one & all i can say is-- Superb!!! great phone!! awesome memory!! i've already got loads & loads of pictures, songs, & videos in it & surprisingly it never caused me any "hang time". u should get one.. NOw!
