Someone Please clarify this for me....
I have a Nokia N95-2 8 GB phone..the place I got the phone told me that the phone is a US release with a US warranty and will work fine in the USA. I am currently on the T-Mobile network (which does not have a 3G network as of yet) I am hearing that the N95 8GB supports only HSDPA 2100. I hear that is European 3G.
Nokia Customer Support says that USA does not currently have a true 3G network (AT&T uses a version of 3G) I just want to know if T-Mobile goes 3G (I'm hearing it will) will the N95-2 8GB phone that I have work on T-Mobile USA 3G network? Please help!!!!
Nice of Nokia to come out with the N96, cause this fella (and the prior N95) was UGLY as hell!!!

i recently brought Nokia N95 8GB, it`s a awesome experience to use this cell, cause it got every features that are needed by any individual. i will advice every person to get a experience of this mobile phone......................................
According to Nokia USA - N95 8GB do ONLY support HSDPA 2100 - they have no such thing us US version of this phone as of February 2008. Do not believe everything you see, and if the US version with HSDPA 850 / 1900 support would be released, it will require a hardware change.
Welldone nokia this phone is great. The design, functions, display is excellent.I have used mine for a month now and i have no complaints.but can someone tell me the difference between N95 8GB with spidermam movie and one without?the box too has spidermam picture while the other one has'nt.
I'm in UK. I have N958GB w/ Garmin sat nav and it's fine (little slow for finding things and I have not tried in car yet, but i think i have to get bluetooth GPS thing).
Anyway, My WLAN won't work. PLEASE HELP!
It detects my wireless, but it will not go onto it. I have a WEP key and want to keep this on. my N95 asks for the key and I put it in correctly. I have even done it as 14 number 2's like "22222222222222" so it cannot be wrong and all i get is "NO NETWORK GATEWAY"
What is this? PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE! PLEASE.
I know I'm not only person!
Thanks you lot!
appreciate the insight folks.. I do have at&t as a service provider.. Guess i'm gonna have to sell my phone and get the american version when it comes out! Sugar honey ice tea.. I really enjoy this phone.. But its not the same knowing i'm not capable of completely utilizing it. Any ideas on the best means of selling it?
hi my wife gave me 3 days ago a brand new n95 8 gig and i was awestruck by its superb features, wi fi is a breeze.grabe...nindot gyud..i was a e61 user before and its niche above the rest
nokia n95 8gb is very very good mobile phone..and very nice Features and very good design."only nokia n95 8gb only"
if your service provider is anything but at&t, i would advice not to get the us version of n95. the only service provider that support 3g in the us is at&t (at least i know of). by the time t-mobile or the rest of the provider supports 3g, there are probably higher-end phone that you would like to buy that going to come out, just my 2 cents
Kam - just like the guy below said, you'll need the NAM version once it's available. Unfortunately the difference between the two is hardware, the actual modem chipset must be changed in order to achieve the 850/1900Mhz 3G bandwidths. No software can change that.
Like I said in a post further down, the American version isn't released yet, but according to mobile city online we should be expecting it in the first week of march. I'm crossing my fingers, because my beat-up N76 is about done for and I need another phone to last until the XPERIA is released. I'm excited for the US N95-8GB!
