Any comments on comparing the Nokia N95 8Gb with the brand new HTC Touch Cruise? (apart from the operating systems and 5 vs 3 Mp camera...)
Thanks, but I'm using Tmobile here and it doesn't offer 3G network as yet and I think might not happen for a while..
I,m a big nokia fan and have always liked their handsets 4 consistency and performance. Only liked a few other ones like the SE K800i,BB 8100,Nokia 8800,N91,6230,6260 to name a few I have used. I also like Apple products for their easy use and out of the box thinking. People are selling the 1.1.2 firmware which can be unlocked and used. With my personality I usually get bored with the handset after 6 months or so and look for a new one... I did get the Iphone when it came out but had to return it as its on at&t network which I don't fancy too much..
Any other handsets recommendations I should look into.. I'm also thinking something slim for a while... I know n95 8g is a bit on the bulky side.... thnxs
@ Jet (4V3m),
If you're living in LA, USA I would suggest that you wait for N95 8GB NAM US version! This probably coming in your country by mid of February 2008. Though, N95-2 and N95 8GB US version are almost identical but the use 3G UMTS is different.
Choosing between N95 and iPhone should not be difficult on your part since you've already mentioned your intensive knowlegde about mobile phones.
iPhone has limited functionality to name some important:
1. No 3G
2. No GPS
3. No MMS
4. Bluetooth support headset only
And very ultimate thing missing from iphone is the support of 3rd party applications and games.
With unlocked iphone, you wouldn't be able to use GPRS data service due to the restriction made by AT&T (firmware protection).
iPhone has a built-in battery. Replacing battery is not as easy as 1-2-3.
Last, UNLOCKED iPhone voids or limits your warranty thus in the event of bringing up-to-date your firmware you have to pay for extra bucks!
i am trying to decide between n95 or the unlocked iphone. if someone could give me their insight who have either used both or either one of them and know more than the average joe..
i can get either one of them for a good price with a new contract out here in la. I have a very intensive knowlege on the handsets out there and their capabilities, just want a second opinion for some people.thnxs jet
You did a great job too mate! Thanks for helping us with your continuous and undying support by sharing your experience and knowledge! Keep it up buddy!
U are always welcome to n958gb site.. If u have any doubt for your n73, we will try to help, espeacially st_jorge.. He is very helpful n fast replier too.
But, i think u need to check out ur phone, i still think your galery shortcut button got problem.. Any way gud luck with ur phone..
Yes, N95-2 bluetooth supports the feature A2DP, it's written down in the specifications. However, it all depends on the Bluetooth Headsets.
Mate, JAR file is an installer application that should be executed in your phone or mass memory! In some cases, JAR file should be accompanied by JAD file and stored in the same folder. Removing the application is the same way as other programs. Go to your Menu\Applications\App. mgr. and select the application with the option to remove!
Remove the installer JAR file in your memory by using your File manager...locate the jar file and delete! If it's restricted just rename the file to something e.g. ABC.jar to ABC.txt then proceed in deleting!
Man this is the best cellphone that i have and this the best Nokia cellphone at this moment because this cellphone is an all around. When you compare Sony or Olympus camera its almost the same megapixel camera its very clear and also the Video of sony or for what its also very clear to watch than any other cellphones just exempt for N82.
im having a problem with me installed game (NFS - JAR file)...i cannot open it so i decided to remove it from my phone memory but to no avail...it says "removing failed"
is there any way to remove the file..it bothers me!
thanks and more power...
pretty good point..um sure u'v convinced to stop ppl from buyin ths phn..BUT..evn if u could put a memory stick in ths phn..wat wood the space capacity for tht? more thn 8gb??
n since u think N95(original) is betta thn ths..how bout tht? can u put a memory stick which is more thn 8gb, n run all application smoothly without any sort of lag or wateva??
i don think u can anywayz... so i donno y u r against ths phn..n y u want to hav a terabyte memory on ur phn..wat r u gonna do wth tht much space anywayz?? for me 8gb is enough man...but thnx a lot for ur opinion :)
well, sarchoos, n82 and n95 are almost same feature wise. n82 doesnt have an IR port, n95 doesnt have a xenon flash
go for n82 if:
-you'll be taking lots of pictures, coz the xenon flash is just awesome.. the led flash of n95 is in no comparison to a xenon flash
-also, the missing IR wont hurt u much
go for n95 if:
-you wont mind a led flash as opposed to a xenon
-you like the flip style n95 (i do) much more than the bar type n82
Yeah, let me ask you? What is a Phone without an external storage device? can you really appreciate it? i don't think so..
because a phone without an external memory card is like owning a Desktop PC that only has a non-expandable internal hard disk, and nothing more! no burner, no cd-rom, no dvd rom, no floppy, no zip disk, etc.. whatta trash! if i were you i won't choose this i'd rather pick the N95 (silver) than this...
You won't be able to save as many files as you can...unlike when a phone has an external memory card..push it to the limits!!!buy as many cards as you want!
Black 8gb really nice,i got it 5 days ago,very coo,just one problem,the talking-time is too low..:(
And BTW,Does it really cost $700-$1000,why i got it for only $550 from China supplier?but its originally with all other sets.
actually mark the nokia 5mp cameras are the best.
People seem to have this crazy idea the k850 camera is better when it really isnt! just has proper flash.
the viewty takes poor photos apparently.
the g600 + 6800 are supposedly good but they dnt get much mention, dnt know why. probably because the phones themselves dnt do anything.
when you own a n95 you wonder how nokia possibly made something so rich in features so small
i think the N95 looks good and performs well. but the size of it put me. remember the phones in the 80's. well you cant have all the technology if something the size of a calculator. But i did nearly get one. but again its big bulky, and there are other 5 meg cameras just as good if not better.
