i'd like you to take note that in the second link, the flash of N95 8gb is not that bad comapared to N82... kindly take note!
i'd want that you take a look at the following
Attention: All of You,
Yeah, some of you say to never get stuck on N95-8GB (internal mem only), i fully agree with you!;)
coz there's no way for you to expand your file storage capacity! coz having a phone without an external storage is like having a Desktop PC without any devices (ie. writer, burner, floppy, cd/dvd rom, etc.) but just a non-expandable internal harddisk! whatta crap! Agree??:)
Camera wise choose N82 coz it has a XENON flash!
Other than this chooose N95-2.
N95-3 is almost the same as N95-2 except for the screen dimension....and:
N95-3 uses frequency band WCDMA 1900 & WCDMA 850 for 3G mobile broadband connection in USA only.
N95-2 uses frquency WCDMA 2100 for 3G mobile broadband connection in Europe & Asia only.
YES, it is possible to have the backlight lit up all time! You need to install FExplorer 1.16 Beta http://www.gosymbian.com/FE_beta_download_3ed.html . Once you've installed the FExplorer, open the application and open drive C: select Options...Tools...Turn Light ON! This thing will only work if your Slider Lock Key is set to NO. Go to your Menu/Tools/Settings/General/Security/Phone and Sim card then set your "Lock keys if slide closed" to NO.
The key factor of a good flash should have better Flash energy. Xenon flash in my opinion will still outclassed the Dual LED flash in a low light condition. Hence, Nokia 5610 is already equipped with Dual LED flash. See here http://bp0.blogger.com/_h5hOmDEy1n4/RzB8hPESsyI/AAAAAAAAj3g/ZwyuXzdNR3I/s1600-h/n2.jpg .
I have read many of the comments about the N95 8gb some people just slander the unit while others press onto get the best from the Nokia n95 8gb.
I have taken the latter installing core player onto this unit was my first installation best thing i did now i can play full length movie files which end up being around the 850mb and plays at 24fps plays faultlessly-files types avi,mp4,3g,xvid,divx.
I tend to stick with the Nokia Music player adding my album art and plays and sounds great i encode mp3 at around 320 which gives extra clarity and bass and this i have tested this to be true.
investing in some quality headphones is essential when listening to music on this unit.
Gaming there are loads of games to be found for this unit on the net which are exellent quality which some put an psp to shame dont be fooled some of the upcoming games from Nokia Ngage service which truely push the hardware to psp Standards.
Overall i have to say this Nokia N95 8gb is a Jack of all trades and does what is does really well better than any other handset ive used including Pocket Pcs
This handset at last has stopped me searching for the perfect handset as i think 100% this is it the holy grail of Mobiles.
Oh Yes protecting this unit is a Must i have my phone with rubber bottom cover and crystal top cover on phone, when not being used lives in a leather slip case so my will always looks in factory condition it pays to protect your investment as mine is sim free.
I have also changed look of UI with i downloaded got a Vista Ultimate thing going on and looks totally cool this theme totally transforms all menu structures.
Does anyone know a way of using the nokia maps navigation, and answering the phone with a bluetooth headset at the same time?
Bro, still no firmware 15.0.015 for our unit! Sure, I will inform as soon as a get one! Keep in touch buddy!
Thanks buddy for enlighten me! While it's true that debranding is illegal! But my "stricken out" posts don't suggest any encouragement...it's pure INFORMATION only! Cheers!
********************************************* Mate! I am having a weird problem. I am unable to play any 3GP videos on my N95 8GB phone. I get the error, 'Unable to play media clip'
Your RealPlayer might have been bugged or corrupted. Was there any chance you have installed Movie player 3rd party application? What about playing MP4?
YES...we can use our mobile phone as a webcam. Here are your choices:

2. Mobiola Web Camera bluetooth & USB cable connection http://clickapps.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=6212§ion=S60V3 .
Let's move on & to start with.....
Mate, YES it is possible to use our Camera Flash as a Torch!
One of the forum I found:
---NTorch Lite for S60 3rd Edition allows the built-in Flash to be used for Now with reduced light beam, your flash can be turned on for a much longer period of time, while avoiding excessive heat being generated by the LED. Best of all, NTorch Lite can send out Visual Distress Signals that might one day save your life.

First and foremost...thank you for the moral support and concern!
It's been a busy day today for me; ripping, converting & transferring movies in my mobile phone!...Oooops! RIPPING is illegal! hahaha!...Sorry guys!
I only have one question for the owner, have your phone been error because the 8 gb memory?? Because my sister phone(N73) with the 2gb memory having so much problem.. Thanks..
i think the n95 8gb should have a better screen resolution. i mean, my mp3 player's screen is half as small as this thing, yet has the same resolution.
it should have about 480x640 pixels
anyway, it's a good enough fone as it is,
after all, it's a phone.
it's used to call people.
FAO got the 6110 guys.....
no this will not work as the gsp revicer is behind the keypad and the 6110 has it on the top right hand side of the front screen
Here a big head to head in term of benchmark:
N95 vs N82 vs N95 8GB vs N81 8Gb vs N73ME:
st_jogre, you seem to be the greatest helper of the Nokia community by sharing your vast knowledge...thanks for that!
Just wanted to know one thing regarding N95 8GB... Is it possible to set the nagvigation backlights to light up as an indicator for missed calls / unread messages? If yes, please tell me how to go about it, as this is thre only problem I face in this phone- I have to unlock the phone keypad everytime to check for any missed calls / unread messages. Thanks.
