Thanks mate! For those you haven't experiencing any problem with your present firmware...stay with it!
hi. I have been using g-maps and im wondering, is there anyway i can save the maps. Sometimes i download up to 3mb using wifi. But as soon as i exit the maps are gone. Does anyone have a solution.
Mate, GPS is not a Network dependent! You can use your it for FREE anytime! If things still don't work for you, try to check your GPS receiver at nearest Nokia Service Center!
thnx... but i al ready tryd that... but thnx. if you have a other idea i'd like to know that.
(im sorry if my english is not so good)
I agree with st_jorge about new firmware. We need to wait 20....
I hope it will be soon.
Mate, some of the factors affecting GPS transmission are weathers e.g. CLOUD, FOG or SMOG. Atleast you should get 3 satellites in order to locate your position! Try to scout/search for a place (outside the building). Go to your Menu/Tools/Connectivity/GPS data...from here it will search GPS satellites for about 1 minute! Good luck!
I'm surprised to hear that you have already Asphalt 3 n-gage game! Are you sure it's for n-series phone? As per n-gage site http://www.nseries.com/showroom/asphalt.html , the realease date is still TBA (To Be Announced). If you do really have one. Pls send me the unsigned sis file together with your IMEI and send them to my email st_jorge999 at yahoo dot com. Thanks buddy!
i have a n95 and my gps doesnt work...
I live in holland. The stores also dont know why it doesnt work... i bought it on a orange site.... can you help me??
Mate, this updating of firmware is completely Great News! Now it comes with version 15.0.0! I'm just wondering if it's 100% BUG FREE! I think I'll stick around with version 10.0.0 until the release of Final version! Anyway, thanks for the info buddy!
Mate, go to your Menu/Tools/Connectivity/GPS data...from here it will search for GPS satellites and calculate a data (takes about 30 secs to 1 minute). Then in the Position you will get your bearing LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, ALTITUDE and even your SPEED as you walk! Again establishing link signal with GPS is FREE!
For Mapping, you're going to need a GPRS connection or wifi which is not totally free! Refer to your Network provider for the charge!
new firmware v15 is out, check this out http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/6501_The_Nokia_N95_8GB_hits_v15_fir.php
hahaha! so much with your compliments! I'm not the real GUY here! Everybody here is a GUY contributing, sharing & helping other mates! It's nice and I'm glad to have N95-2! Thanks NOKIA! LOL!

Navigation would mean MAP READING. This is where the Google Maps comes in. Travelling from point to another would required GPS as long as you have atleast 3 satellite signals!
OK...to make thing simple! Travelling from one place to another you're going to need a Map. But tracking your position and location would require GPS.
When using Google Map, you will notice at the upper right portion of the screen the status of your satellite and you will see a small blue blinking dot (this is your position). As you travel you will see that the blinking dot moves in your direction navigating thru map.
I have a regular n95, is the n95 8gb better than the regular n95...
Hope you can tell me about it...
Okay, lets put it this way. I wanna get from A to B. and I put that in the GPS. Will it show me how to get there (map)? and will it charge me for that?
Mates F6va and daniel are right! Our built-in GPS receiver in our phone locates Satellites (atleast 3 to make the triangulation/tracking) and this satellites transmit microwave signals to our phone....NO Internet connection is required....it's totally FREE! For Navigation, this is where the GPRS and wifi comes in....and it's not Free at all! Unless your using your private wifi connection!
St_Jeorge..... You are THE MAN! I repeat, you are THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....
With St-Jorge around, I will never purchase any other phone except NOKIA!
