hi...this is a great phone..i think im gonna buy it..
i have one question: is n95 8gb louder than n73? pls answer...thx
@coolmastdude,
Yes, N95-2 can be synchronize contacts, calendar, notes, emails with Microsoft Outlook using NOKIA PC SUITE connected via USB data cable, bluetooth or infrared! On the other hand, N95-2 has this feature to copy all contacts from sim to phone or vice versa
@BabyB,
1. - How do I copy the spiderman 3 movie to my pc? or least change the format?
2. - What is rotateme? Everyone has it but i don't know what it is and I want it too!
3. - Is there anything anyone can give me to update the software on my phone?
ANS:
1. Just like IKONN have suggested earlier in his post, the easiest at fastest way to transfer files from phone to computer is with the use of PC Suite connected by USB data cable. File format of video in our phone is either MP4 or 3GP which can be played with NOKIA VIDEO MANAGER. If you're planning to put the video files into DVD then you need to convert them to VOB file in order to play your movie in an ordinary DVD player. You can use Xilisoft video converter or other leading video converter softwares.
2. RotateMe is one of the latest craze programs that change the orientation of the phone display through motion. Normally, we have the portrait mode but with RotateMe you can have your display, menu, programs, games, video opened in landscape by rotating the unit and vice-versa. See the video http://www.bysamir.fr/rotateme/
3. Software update normally refers to firmware update. The latest update is 11.0.0...the site for updating http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4226014 . Pls check your Product code before proceeding with the updates.
NOTE: I'm still using the original version of firmware 10.0.021 and have no intention of updating unless it's necessary! Updating firmware wouldn't guarantee 100% BUG FREE. If you're not experiencing any problems with your present firmware...then stay with it!
Once again, can anyone tell me whether this phone can sync contacts with microsoft outlook? I'm changing over from O2 atom to this phone. All my contacts have been syncd from O2 atom to my pc... and O2 atom cannot tranfer contacts from phone memory to SIM memory... hence sync of contacts between this phone and pc are required. Please help! Thanks.
Ok, just tried it again, I see everything on the N95 8GB from the PC... no PC Suite running, no nothing, Windows XP Pro just detects it as a "aRemovable HDD Drive"... don't know about Vista, tho, haven't used it yet... I think I'll wait for Vista till they fix some of the bugs, at least lol
And I think I'll contact Nokia on Monday, have their opinion on this matter, and will post it here, if they answer.
@redice,
Mate, I believe you have installed MOSH client...a distribution channel for file sharing of applications, videos, musics,etc. Audio themes refer to the Music theme played in a movie e.g. James Bond, Love Boat, Mission Impossible, etc.
Would appreciate if somebody will tell me how to set up properly to record phone conversation with N95 8gb.
@st_jorge
Well, so that seems that this phone is almost bug free. Not like this 1. This K850i is full of BUGS. Even at the shootout K850i vs N95 the N95 was the clear winner w/o doubt. Today I was at a store checking the N95 8GB and I took out my K850i from my pocket to compare . And the 2 phones are almost the same size. N95 8GB is lighter, the K850i is longer and N95 8GB is a bit thicker but that's not a prob to me. And I opened both cameras and without even shooting a pic you can see quality radiating from the N95 8GB over the K850i. K850i camera has some white-ish and poor colors while the N95 8GB have more realistic picture overall w/o purple fringing, nor yellowish, nor white-ish just fine. Also the colors are more vibrating. Some ppl here say over-satured colors but for me are perfect and for most ppl here too. I guess I'll be buying this N95 8GB soon and sell this K850i to some SE Fan Boy (even though I was 1 B4).
So, please if you find any bug or major issue please keep them post.
Thanks mate
yes we should help each other in any way we can...
we are all nokia users.. n95 8gb for us...

@Ikonn,
Mate, you got nothing to worry about me! Just like others here....we love sharing our opinions and learn things! Any Help we can impart will surely be appreciated one way or another! Cheers dude!
@Ikonn,
Mate, thank you again for enhancing my learning! So to speak, I've tried your suggestion to view all my hidden system files...OK computer responded on BUT the phone remain unchanged. All I can see are the Drive C, Drive E (mass memory), Contacts & Messages. I've tried both bluetooth and USB data cable connection to my computer Windows Vista Home Premium editon and using the latest Nokia PC Suite 6.5.12.0. Anything I missed? Way back 2003, I used to have Nokia 6600 and was able to access all the drives including hidden system files in my computer but again with the use of 3rd party application PC File Manager by Epocware.
ei whats the use of audio themes that can be downloaded at the nokia website?
i installed it in my phone, yet i dont know whats it for... haha. i just thought as it says, themes.... haha
One more... I didn't mean to offend you in any way, st_jorge, my personal oppinion is you''re doing a great job helping people here with their issues, compliments for that! As for the Spiderman movie... I've been told ALL Nokia N95 8GB phones come with it, so if you don't have it on yours, I think you should contact the store you bought it from, they might have removed it there. I know they do such things a lot here, in Bulgaria lol. Once again, no hard feelings, and keep up the great job you're doing, st_jorge!
St_jorge... I believe my english is quite good. Now, like I said, I've tried browsing my phone FROM the PC... Hidden system files? Ok, some might fall for that... However, the answer is: simply tell Windows to make the hidden system files and folders visible. Problem solved. Although I've never had that problem with my N95... I mean, hidden files and folders were a problem back in Windows 95, and yes, when you tell Windows XP Pro to make your hidden files and folders visible WHILE your N95 is connected to the PC via the USB cable, it affects the phone too... tested. Y'all have a nice day.
@LB9@,
Mate, I've been using my unit for more than a month now!...so far so good! No hanging or freezing! Camera, looks great though I'm not fond into picture taking! hahaha! Sounds - loud as it is considering two speakers on both sides. Supports a lot of 3rd party applications. Battery life 3 days TOPS. Internet connection - great speed especially using WLAN wifi!
@st_jorge
Hey, have you find any BUG on the N95 8GB ????
Any issue ??? Like freezing, issues with camera or playing music or at installing new applications ????
@ivica,
Mate, send me your IMEI ( press *#06# ) to my email st_jorge999 at yahoo dot com! By the way RotateMe comes in English only. Other Languages not yet supported in the latest version!
