confused between nokia n79 & n95-8GB. yhough N95-8gb looks pretty solid but plz clarify :-
1) any slider problem in N95-8GB ??
2) is keypad of N79 rigid ??
Previously i had decided to buy Nokia E71 - though great stuff, but camera's really a draw back.
plz give a concrete suggestion between E71, N79 & N95-8GB.
This is the 4th phone I ever used, and the one I used the longest. I purchased it when it first came out, so it has been with me for almost 2 years now.
I am very satisfied and happy with this phone, and don't feel any regret still using it today even with the newer models that come out in the market every week.
Probably one of the best things I can mention about this phone is the strong signal reception. Unlike the phones I used before, I can talk in the N85-8GB in underground location and places where other phone won't work.
The screen looks really big and nice, and it's fun to watch movies on it. Video and photo quality is also good.
Many applications are available for this phone, so you can enrich it with lots of software and features.
The slider is still working fine with me, even if it feels slightly loose when closed, but I guess this is a normal behavior that all users of this model experience.
Less than a year after purchasing it, I had a problem with the main speaker during phone calls where I couldn't hear the other party unless I slightly squeeze the slider, but the problem seems to have disappeared now and I never had it again for a whole year.
I am not happy about the GPS signal locking, which takes longer than it should. Also I am not happy about no lens cover for the camera. The protecting glass on the lens had very tiny and faint scratches, but this didn't seem to affect image quality.
Other than that I can't mention anything negative about this phone. The 8GB is more than enough and I never felt I needed more during the past 2 years.
I like N95 8gb and N79. which one would be the technically better anong those two phones.

Hey Guys . i'm confused between n96 & n95 8gb . which is better to buy ?! can you help me ?
Hi to all friends, I have a N95 8GB and substantial I'm not satisfied. SYMBIAN really must say frankly that is slow and quite boring, and an operating system is ludicrous. I think if the CPU of N series phones be 10000GHz, again they're still slow!
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2009i had bought n95 8gb on 17th of aug, 09.. and on d second day there was a problem with the vid... moreCheck your default location for photos to mass memory under open camera app then select options- settings- memory in use then selecct mass memory.
i never had n95 8gb since i always had sony ericsson phones but i've always wanted this phone because of its sleek and chunky design which perfectly fits me since i am big.
for battery life, make sure tat you turn off the 3g.make sure that you switch it to gsm mode if 3g will not be used.only use 3g mode if you will go online and video calls.otherwise, turn it off.why?it consumes 4 hours of your battery's power whenever 3g is turned on on standby mode.
just to share this with you though.hope this helps!

Has anybody here who owned the n95 8gb ever had their ngage app stop working? Ive had this phone for 2 years now and N gage stopped working after i updated the firmware after owning the phone for just 2 months and has never worked again. When i try to re-install it just keeps saying 'error- files missing'
I think that is the best cell phone of nokia!! You can load all kind of appz and they work really good. No big crashes using symbian, increible conectivity everywhere, best sound, exellent quality of image in games. I really love my n95 8gb!!
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2009This is off topic, but has anyone had major issues trying to cancel their '3'UK contract when ... moretrading standards should look into it but learn from this and dont go with three,,i have had so much trouble that i dont want to talk about but take it from most people that o2,voda,orange are much more respectable..They can offer you better stuff to make you want to stay with them but aggressive behaviour is not on or allowed..I have never foned up to cancel as my contract always stipulates you have to write to cancel..
