this happens when the back light settings are on full. I work at CPW and exchanged a guys phone for the third time before i sorted it. Its a common default with these phones but there you go. turn it down and it should be ok.

I totally agree!!! This phone sucks, I had it for 2 days and returned it coz the battery ran out twice, and I didnt use it for that long!!! Its slow and doesnt respond very well to button presses!!! Just stay clear of this phone!!!

This phone is great, there r various reactions from people who cannot handle it & over react as the pay high amount for it & expect world out of it. Its a bit more in price but look u cannot find any other model/brand with these absolute features. Its GPS works great, maps cracked software can be downloaded from garmin to work for Free....

shame shame shame................... all i have had is problem after problem, there was soo many from phone turning off when it felt like it coulddnt make calls gps never knew where i was or where i was MENT to be going it spent more time at nokia repair shop than me enjoying a what i thought to be a good phone it has had 3 full crashes all requireing motherboard replacements had 2 upgrades crash the phone all stored items lost music pics movies games ect..... now it has died yet again only to light up center button nothing else happens/works, is back at nokia yet again to be replaced with "YET" another brand new nokia n96, to the plan i took out ive now got a whole different phone 1st and last time sorry nokia :( but u must of givin me all the lemons verry unhappy with phone and how nokia stuffed me around to getting it fixed then replaced and replaced again!!!!! has anyone else had somthing like this happen or am i just unlucky??? l8rz

reading all what is written here takes hours or days, but let me tell you next, many stupid reactions you will find here, one thing is sure, really sure, this mobile is absolute TOP .

DEAR nokia users , please let know know(unbiased) opinion about mobile and operating system which is good.(touch HD or N97 and windows or symbion).please state your answer giving detailed comparison ,as both mobile are costly in need to be sure of my choice before i buy and not regret later . thanks dear.

I have had this phone for about 6 months now and so far so good. I really love it the internet radio station is really cool.
The only thing the quality of the speakers could be better. The wireless LAN is the bomb..........really cool. Well i guess every new phone have WLAN now. If a new phone does not have WLAN please throw it in the garbage bin.
All in all its is really a nice phone.. i love it i dont regret robbing the bank to get it ......lol.
