Honestly i have to say i've never had so many problems with one handset before. It's slow, constantly crashes, doesn't allow me to make phone calls when i need to, doesn't allow me to use my unlimited internet i pay for, it changes my ring tone for me ??? It's awful. Very disappointed.

Can anyone help me...
I have downloaded some animated themes for my N96 but its showing an still image in those themes i mean its not flashing or animating... what'd be the problem? Pls help i'll be grateful.

Someone said that the software version was 12.3.456 however the software updater tells me mine is 11.018 and also that this 11.018 is the latest version!
The cell keeps self resetting itself besides hangs up too!

again, all of you who own a N96..why did you buy this when it is more expensive than an innov8, which has more features?

To change that, go into messaging, then options, scroll down to settings, then scroll down to other, and scroll down to memory in use and change that to mass memory.
I do believe however that once you finish your file transfers u might need to change back to phone memory as that's where the phone performs better...I stand corrected though. But that's where i believe your problem is

the solution is that when u want to install games or upload songs first thing u should do is to to connect your mobile to computer then browse the mobile from your computer then add all the games or software setup in that then from mobile file manager install them..................

I owned a Nokia N96 for 3 months, this was the most unreliable Nokia phone I have ever owned. Rather than being an all-singing-all-dancing SMARTphone it simply did not work effectively i.e. constantly crashing, poor battery life, abyssmal reception and very slow.
Come on Nokia, at least get the basics right!
I have since changed to a Nokia E51 which is fantastic.

Dani, 27 Mar 2009Is it good with the New Firmware? Worth upgrading to as a new phone with it.?Yes it is the king is now N96 iv got 237mb left on my mass memory. And iv also gt al the theme efects and with auto rot8 its as smooth ass empty!

shell, 25 Mar 2009umm i had only had this phone a day, after having a sony, already ive had to charge it up twic... moreOk 1st u need 2 update ur software via Nokia Software updater. On ur pc suit . U need internet. And u cn read ur manual on how 2 use symbian smartphones da section cald multitasking. If u need any help jst post ur problm here.

Update ur software via Nokia Software Updater. Im curently on v12.043 i was on v10. And trust me its great iv even used up 14GB Of the mass memory im left with like 500mb. And its handling it quite wel.

k, 25 Mar 2009i live in bristol and use the 3 network, my reception is awfull,internet is slow,just cant mak... morehi k.... i have experienced same problem in bristol area.....try using other sim as that is the real issue..its something to do with 3 network as i was previously using n96 on 3 network as well...

ronny, 25 Mar 2009hey pple i am going to give up on my nokia n81, its been freezing constantly. what do u guys t... moreDont get N96 i had N81 8GB and im so sorry now that i replaced it with the N96 it hopeless it freezes nearly anytime you try and do anything on it, its only good for playing music, im replaceing it with the samsung ultratouch pretty soon.
