The N96 was set 2 be the N95 in the 1st place but they ran in2 some issuse with t... moreThe thing is cutting back on the performance on the N96 then supplying it with 16GB of memory which pretty much stops working once you put more than 9 or 10 GB's on it was not such a good idea.
So people are paying a premium price for an experimental phone which Nokia push as a "flagship".

i8510 has some problems of its own....
So did the N95 in its tym....wat Nokia is trying 2 do is maximize on hardware effeciency with minimal power usages....at the same tym having many features as possable....then they would hav mastard the art....
Coz wat the i8510 is now...is wat the N95 was in its tym....yet the N95 was more of an innovation than the i8510.....the i8510 is just pasing the same road the N95 did yet with a beater engine.

Hey it has a navi wheel, similar to the Samsung's Optical trackpad, only got 5 Megapixel camera, smaller screen and slower processor.

As you can see the Samsung is 3.5mm longer.
The Nokia is 1.1mm Wider and 0.8 mm thicker.
The Nokia would be harder to fit in a pocket.

Its funny how sammy fanboys...compare a 3year old Fone 2 a new 1....lol....didnt u knw that the N96 is 3 years old....its CPU...is from thom the N93i and so is the circuit board......
Nokia just improved it so that they could make up 4 the revenew lost when the N93i didnt sell and they had invested in its chipsets....
Thats y the N96 isnt a worthy opponent 4 gthe i8510....
so pleas dude get a life....And im not a Nokia typical fan boy....im a fan of nokia but i do apreciate gud products from other manufactures....

Battery Life - fanboys from other company criticize this because it only carries 950 mAh, what they didnt know about was that this battery can stand all the power needs on the phone in a day or two becasue of the hardware used that minimize battery consumption.
Samsung Innov8 1200 mAh, uses it on more powerful processor, dedicated 3D graphics acceleration, DSE sound chip and faster 3G speeds.
2. N96 has the best hardware for decoding movies, music and videos thus it gives users the best experience in watching or listening experience. This actually have an effect on power consumption thus extended power while watching videos or listening to music.
Samsung Innov8 DivX/H.263/H.264/WMV/MP4 player, MP3/eAAC+/WMA/AMR/RealAudio player
Does N96 support all these or do you have to install add-ons?
Samsung Innov8 dedicated audio and graphics processors.
Nokia N96 none.
Now how can a phone without these things be better?
It's like saying that a car with no engine is faster than one that has one.
3. Their are some features of the phone that where power hungry like the GPS and Wifi but this normally does eats up power which ever device you used. Laptop for example, internet browsing also eats up energy in those devices.
4. If you try to write every advantages or improvements of N96 over N95 or the competing brands, you can actually see that N96 produce a long list to advantages.
The Innov8 sets new standards, not carries on with old ones.
Yes, having Nokia painted on the plastic must make it faster despite all the hardware disadvantages, is that like red cars go faster?

Besides all this Nokia sell Australia cheap Chinese made one's and keep the better made Finnish one's for other countries.
