Kenzo, 31 Oct 2008Wow dude was it that bad:o(...... eyi i feel ur great disapointment in the way u express ur w... moreDude, honestly, it's a piece of sh*t. Obviously it depends what you wanna use it for. I reckon the only thing it's got going for it is a good camera and video recording. Otherwise, it's slow, unreliable and you don't wanna spend 18 months of your life with it, if you're buying it on a contract here in the UK. Good luck with your choices but DO NOT get the N96. I don't work for anyone of Nokia's competitors, I swear to God. I do know my phones though. The N96 is sh*t.
right now im still using my n95 8gb, but definately i'll get this beast (i'll just wait till the price goes down the drain)...for me its the total package, 16gb, tv reception, videos (ipod in the palm of my hand), 5mp cam and of course expandable memory! (16gb mmc is on its way)
but to be honest with u guys, i hate what nokia did on the looks (hate n81)..easily get scartched..i know nokia could have done something better, such as 6500's steel casing.
NokiaLover, 04 Nov 2008Did u guys notice that this phone is in the BRITNEY SPEARS video clip "WOMANIZER" i wonder why... morepffff, watch carefull. Mrs Spears shows this 5800 X-press Music (i think), but not N96
don't buy so huge 2.8'' screen and only qvga!you'd better take somtehing different
Nanster, 04 Nov 2008Oh really now and which ericsson might that have been. I think u need to go check up on that again."Ericsson R380 (2000) was the first commercially available phone based on Symbian OS. As with the modern "FOMA" phones, this device was closed, and the user could not install new C++ applications. Unlike those, however, the R380 could not even run Java applications, and for this reason, some have questioned whether it can properly be termed a 'smartphone'."
Look it even has a touchscreen:-
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2008I have this phone for the past 3 weeks now. and i can tell you from experience, this is the wo... moresorry, but I do not agree with you.I also use this mobile and for sure will not return it. Charge your battery during the night and you will never face a problem. My mobile was hanging 1 time in 5 weeks, compared to my previous TYTN II a real success. Sound quality is great, by speaker and headphone. Really difficult to understand why you have so many problems. N96 is a fantastic mobile and indeed, if it was build with a little less plastic it should be better, but....nothing is perfect in life
Great lookinging handset but This is an awfull handset. Constantly recharging the battery and rebooting the handset due to crashing! sound quality is terrible. Took it back and exchanged it for a 6600 slide which looks even better and the battery actually lasts.
Nanster, 04 Nov 2008Oh really now and which ericsson might that have been. I think u need to go check up on that again.I know which ericsson that was......the sven goran erikkson
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2008Ericsson released the first Symbian phone, so they must be better than Nokia then.Oh really now and which ericsson might that have been. I think u need to go check up on that again.
I have this phone for the past 3 weeks now. and i can tell you from experience, this is the worst phone i have ever owned. The battery lasts for a day at max and this is with 40-45 mins of talk time and half hour of music (without headphones). It is painfully slow, and hangs at the drop of a hat. The speaker quality is poor, and jarring to the ear even with adjustment to the equaliser setting. Even if you need 16 GB of memory increase your budget and go for the INNOV8, its worth it. If you can suffice with 8 GB go for the N95, you will not regret it. I have used all 3.
Nanster, 04 Nov 2008Nokia N96.... All i can say is WOW!!! What a phone way better than any samsung... Nokia always... moreEricsson released the first Symbian phone, so they must be better than Nokia then.
N96 loaded of feature but the battery is only 950mah,all feature become useless
Battery went down
to 950 Mah copmparing to N95?
Why id GSM arena so surpriced?
N95 is 21mm thick phone
and N96 18 mm . That's what you get with your thin phones!!!!!!!! (Another stupid move from NOKIA. There was no need to make this phone thinner!!!)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Nokia N96.... All i can say is WOW!!! What a phone way better than any samsung... Nokia always was the best thats why samsung has also released a series of symbian phones... They finally saw the light. Anything besides a symbian series phone is for the ladies (**,)
what is the bbc and mobile tv ?how do use ?what is the different bbc and mobile tv?
Did u guys notice that this phone is in the BRITNEY SPEARS video clip "WOMANIZER" i wonder why not Blackberry since NOKIA is not for American..
I ve got to hold and test dis phone in a retail store here in Denmark. Dis phone feels too plasticky and cheap for a 700 euro phone. Da slider does not wobble but its very stiff. I noticed also dat its even wider dan my N95 8gb even though dey hav da same screen size. And da UI is also quite slow compared to N95 8gb. Sometimes wen u press a key its not responding. Da speakers ar also not so loud. I really had a bad first impressions with dis phone so am goin to stay away from it. I hope other future nseries phones will be better dan dis. Becos I realy think its not worth da money.
according to the mobile phone experts from several review websites..
this phone is the best in its class, if you've read negative comments of this phone in this site, they are from the haters and fanboys from other companies who doesnt even own one.
the only factor that holds me back in buying this phone is the price. Its expensive for a mass market consumer like me. Other than this, the phone is worthy of praise.
