Cute Guy, 30 Oct 2008Again, let us make this as simple as possible because samsung fanboys cannot get my point. ... more16GB and DVB-H did not make N96 any better than N95 8Gb. N95 8Gb has larger camera lens, 3D graphics engine, dual TIOMAP 2420 CPU, 1200mah battery which N96 doesn't have. And INNOV8 has everything that N96 and N95 8Gb have except the fancy DVB-H chip. There is no such thing as Samsung fanboys. If there are INNOV8 fans, it is because INNOV8 is just too impressive device that even a Nokia fanatic like me is loving it. It takes so much Nokia fanboyism to appreciate N96 because even mobile phone review sites have already been disappointed with this phone. Do you know the story why N96 in this age and time was equipped with an old aged battery of N95 whereas all other latest Nokia phones are equipped with a whopping 1200mah battery? Even N82 and N81 have newer battery than N96. It is because when the time the hardware of N96 was being made by designers and engineers, there was no 1200mah battery available yet. What does that mean? N96 was created prior to N95 8Gb. It took 2 years for N96's development to be finished. This story is in one of mobile-review.com articles. That's why I just laugh at people who buy this phone. These people are so shallow. Haha! Good luck with your ageing N96. Hope you won't regret buying it when the next best thing arrives soon. Haha!

I can do anything on all the Nokia mentioned that you can do with your innov8 and I have enjoyed several bonus together with it.

All that Nokia stuff you babble on about is freely available from plenty of other places on the web, there's nothing new or innovative there.

N96, N85, N82, N79 among others can do everything innov8 can do. camera, nokia phones can produce quality and decent pictures enough for a normal sonsumer to show to the world, this people doesnt join photography contest or print a life size picture of themselves so they dont need the camera specs of innov8. they only need a decent camera to help them remember events of their lives.
the additional specs added by innov8 to increase the camera capability just adds up to the price so it didnt sell, simple and precise.
Nokia Phones have GPS, Wifi, QuickOffice and eveything that innov8 have, so nothing is significant in this departments.
Whats Nokia has that innov8 dont, Nokia Maps, Navfon, Ovi, Nokia Vine, Nokia Sports Tracker, Nokia Step Counter, Nokia Audiobooks, Nokia Wellness Diary, Nokia Email, Nokia Photos with Geotagging, Nokia Conversations etc etc etc... All very improtant softwares that well enhance the life of its users.
Nokia has the most number of support websites in the web.
Nokia has the best contumer support having Nokia Service Centers in almost every city in the entire world.
Nokia N96 is chaper by 50Euro over innov8, Nokia N85 and N79 is 150Euro cheaper than innov8, Nokia N82 is 200Euro cheaper.
And all this phones mentioned have unique features not seen in innov8 yet equally important, DVB-H for N96, OLED and FM transmitter for N85, Xpress on cover for N79 and Xenon for N82.
So why do people buy innov8? I dont think they will.
Kenzo, 30 Oct 2008I still dont see your point...?????
yes there 3 different adds 4 the N96 here in South Africa... moreU really have a bad choice of cell. U prefer an N96 over an N95 8Gb which is still better than N96. And u like G810 which is so much lesser than INNOV8. G810 can't even record videos in 30fps while INNOV8 records videos at up to 120fps. U don't like INNOV8 because it has no media keys but u like G810 which has neither media keys nor a dedicated audio chip. G810 is just a camera phone. While INNOV8 is every gadget put into one!
Compare N96 and INNOV8's technical specifications side by side and you'll realize how N96 lacks so many things when compared to INNOV8. The gap between them is like heaven and earth.

i like the G810 coz its something samsung has been trying 2 produce all thes decades but only succeded in the G810.....
The G810 looks classy...

People who have n95, n95 8gb or n96 shouldnt bother upgrading to the innov8. The extra megapixels arent worth it especially since they pull off good camera quality anyway.
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2008What innovation? It didnt bring anything new to the table. It wasnt the first 8mp camera to ge... moreSamsung INNOV8 was the first 8MP camera phone that was released. SE C905 was the first to be announced. C905 was announced even if its production was not yet finished. While INNOV8 was announced when retail units were already shipping. So INNOV8 is considered the first 8MP camera phone and not C905. It doesn't matter which was announced first. What matters more is which gets released first. INNOV8 is a fusion of a standalone digital camera, video camcorder, web browser, GPS navigator, home entertainment system, game console - a true all-in-one multimedia powerhouse to the next level! It's the most complete multimedia device right now! N96 and N95 8GB seem like dwarfs when compared to the mammoth INNOV8 as far as technical specifications is concerned.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Don't you recognize the first Symbian phone made by Ericsson, the one all Symbian phones followed, it took Nokia 8 years to come up with a touch screen (5800) and that was only after the iPhone.
A lot of of Nokia fans keep going on about how important camera size is, until better one's come along, then all of a sudden it's not so important.
It's like they are brainwashed by Nokia marketing.
I don't know if you have the same ads on TV, the N96 one's here have something about "the web in your hand", well Nokia I've been doing that for 9 years on many different phones, it's not new although you try to claim it is.
to anybody havin volume trouble turn off 3d tones there is a update due soon to fix this problem

One thing i do know is that all n-series phones always bring something new to the table.
N96-power saving hardware, n78-fm transmitter, n85-dual slide with multifunctional keys, n79-xpress on covers with automatic theme change, etc. They may not all be the most stricking features, but at least they speak of serious fun.
I can put the innov8 against an n79 and the only thing it has over n79 is the extra 3mp, more memory and a bigger screen. The n79 on the other hand has an fm transmitter, xpress-on covers with automatic theme change, better battery and is much more compact. The innov8 just brings upgrades of both the good and the bad. More megapixels, more memory, bigger size, better sound quality, bigger weight, etc, but no new feature.
