Bakekang, 27 Oct 2008Pls dont recommend N85 as a music phone because its sound quality is just slightly better than... moresorry to disappoint you but im not buying nokia 8MP if they'll make one, the bar of camera for normal consumer like me(90% of the mobile market more or less) have been riched already, we dont need 8MP because we dont like to print a life size pic which you might plan of doing and i have a lot of things to do in my life rather than my mobile phone he3 joke
anyways i recomend n85 basing on the most reasonable factor in buying mobile phone for regular consumers, the best value all in one device that has a good camera and music feature

N96 has 16GB internal,16GB External (N85 just 8GB)
N96 has 2.8 TFT (N85 has 2.6 OLED)
NOTE: (TFT) screens is better than (OLED)

AND the N96 has 950 mAH battery
Just this battery is better than N96,but soon there will be other battery (1200,1100 mAH) available for the N96.
ALSO the both phones has the SAME
(Wifi,3G 3.6 mbps,sensor,naviwheel,S60 3rd v9.3,A-GPS function,Dual slide design,Java MIDP 2.0,3.5 mm audio output jack,TV out,Stereo FM radio with RDS,5MP AF Carl-zeiss camera,Office document viewer ).and also same music features and same sound quality
SOOOO,why N85 better???

How about N96?hey brother if u think that u want a pda phone i will simply say u that plzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't go for n96 becos it is such an cheap phone becos of it's features ok i will prefer u it u want a pda phone then u will go for a HTC phones ok

Its a sound technology developed by Samsung that gives better amplification and creates sound effects, and reproduces purer, clearer and noiseless sound with all audio elements clearly audible. Fortunately, that DNse 2.0 is now on a mobile phone which is Samsung INNOV8.

N85 has no dedicated audio chip. It plays music but it's not a music phone. And pls stop saying that 8MP is not necessary because 8MP will be the standard for camera phones in 2009. Even Nokia is currently developing their own version of INNOV8.

Camera is Carl Ziess 5MP good enough to snap good quality images
Music feature is one of the best among N Series and has dedicated buttons
And its Nokia..
Innov8 is a good phone but its overprice and contains unecessary features like the 8MP that average people doesnt need. Its a marketing ploy.

It has a massive 3.2 inch screen, desktop cradle in the retail package, loud speakers (nokia's best offering so far) and a dedicated 3d image engine. Plus it cost is much much cheaper than n96.

If someone come out and say samsung music quality is the best because of their DSn blur blur technology, I want to lol. I am not nokia fan, but I use SE, nokia and samsung ph, plus I and my friends got few mp3 players of sony, samsung, i pod etc. Samsung provide many control in their mp3 players but simply lousy in quality.

To the person who is asking if there is a Nokia phone that specializes on Music and Camera, there is no such Nokia phone currently. There is a Nokia phone that specializes on Music and Gaming and that's N81/N81 8Gb. N96 specializes on TV & Video playback. There is a phone that specializes on Music and Camera but it's not a Nokia phone. It's Samsung INNOV8. Even though INNOV8 lacks hardware music keys, it still beats any other music phones when it comes to audio quality. INNOV8 has DNse 2.0, Samsung's very own sound technology. It's the best currently. I don't know how Nokia can match this.

I see not major functionality upgrade compared to my good old N95. Honest company would have called it N95 2.0 and would not charge $700 for a face lifted oldie. I suppose I'll use my N95 until rails fall off and it splits in two, then Nokia might have something to offer in this segment.

If the n96 was made for video, then why is the 5800xm excel better in this department? It has a much bigger and better screen, a better cpu, it comes with a desk stand and has a much juicier battery, yet it costs less than half of what n96 costs. I dont understand it. Or is it the TV receiver that makes n96 video oriented?

i have had this phone and its ok to a standed the phone is not very good for everyday use has the battery dont last long if you'r playing with it all the time has my 7yr old plays with it all the time

i havent found a mobile company yet that can surpass d quality, durability and customer support than Nokia can offer.
somehow im at ease owning Nokia devices as they have d best after sales support, the most number of software innovations that caters to uplift customers way of life. nokia service centers everywhere, nokias numerous websites for information and product enhancements, nokia maps, wellness diary, sports tracker, nokia vine, ovi and a whole lot more!
Thats my Nokia!

I find it a decent phone,but why on earth did nokia not stick to the mini usb port as on the n95?.I find my phone freezes momentarilly bt a software update should sort this out,as it cant be a shortage of memory mine has 24gig in at the moment(wrong I know)but its a memeory sick for my work tansfer
