Bakekang, 24 Oct 2008N96, N85 and N79 are quite disappointing products from Nokia. These are just more or less exac... moreI totally agree with you mate. The N96, N85 and N79 are not as good as the previous N-Series i.e. N95, N95 8GB and N82.
To be honest, the best Nokia phones in the market right now is N82, N95 8GB, N95, E71 and E66. I hope the 5800 Xpress Music can join this elite group.
The N96 if at all is probably the only I'd give a second look. N85 and N79 are completely washed out to be honest. Looks too childish and pricey! Other options, wait for SE X1 (Xperia) which hopefully will be a tough competitor.

Bakekang, 26 Oct 2008Ive been monitoring both the N96 and INNOV8 for quite a long while now and this is what Ive ob... moredeos samsung have better colour quality than n96 and also deos it have DVB-H TV broadcast receiver...
i have used it about a month now... n96 iz the best very good in quality and works really well...
Ive been monitoring both the N96 and INNOV8 for quite a long while now and this is what Ive observed:
People rant about N96 because it is named N96. They dont brag about its 5Mp camera, or the DVB-H, or the 16Gb. They just shout its name "N96 is the best!" I wonder if N96 was named N79 instead, would it get the hype it gets right now?
On the other hand, people love to discuss INNOV8's 8MP camera and they make conclusive statements that it is the best simply because of the 8Mp camera, DNse sound technology, and everything else it's got under its hood.
Conclusion: N96 is great because it is named "N96". INNOV8 is great because it has 8Mp camera, DNse sound technology, 3D graphics accelerator, 450MHz processor, optical mouse, and everything else.
Please dont get me wrong. Im not comparing these 2 phones because theyre not at the same level. The one that should be compared to INNOV8 is not yet released, N98.
Rassall, 26 Oct 2008I m a very hardcore Music lover listening music through quality headphone.Im also very fan of... moreAmong the phones you've listed, N91 (4Gb/8Gb) is the "King of Sounds." No newer and latest mobile phone has beaten it yet by far. The sonic experience delivered by N91 is nothing but perfect! N81 comes next with the best sound quality among Nokia phones. Its volume is just softer compared to N91's kickass volume. N96 is the third. It is also a good music phone, a lot better than N95 8Gb in terms of sound quality but worse than N91/N81. The only mobile phone that can challenge N91 in terms of sound quality is Samsung INNOV8. Sony Ericsson Walkman phones deliver only average sound quality because of their lack of a dedicated sound processor which is present in N91, N81, and INNOV8.
If you're looking for the best music phone, get the N91 (though already phased out).
If you want a great music phone with good gaming functions, nothing beats N81.
If you want a good music phone plus a whole lot more features, N96 is the right one.
If you want a mobile phone with an excellent sound quality and great camera, then INNOV8 is that phone for you.
N95 8Gb has music functions just like anything else but it's not a music phone.
Rassall, 26 Oct 2008I m a very hardcore Music lover listening music through quality headphone.Im also very fan of... moreI used SE walkman phs such as w890 and w910 b4, they are excellent with powerful bass. Nokia N96 (I just sold it coz of software issues) also produce good sound quality with powerful bass (but a little bit distortion when vol max). They all are very loud too with user configurable equiliser. I have few ultra series of samsung D900 and U900, plus tested music on friend's omnia. Simply su.ck. No bass. But this is my opinion only.
I m a very hardcore Music lover listening music through quality headphone.Im also very fan of loudest
speaker phone.I want to buy a phone for main purpose of enjoy high quality music.
Now my question is : which phone is perfect for me among Nokia 91 4gb/8gb, Nokia N96 ,
Nokia N81, Nokia N95 8gb , any samasung/Sony Ericsson phone for listening very high quality music?
those r used this sets plz advice me...thanks

im baffled between the Ignito on O2 but reviews aint been brilliant....though I like the look of the HTC Touch Pro and the new HD...CLASS! If they dont come out on O2, then it will def be the N96 for me...
I work for a leading award winning Mobile Phone retailer in the UK and the amount of problems there are with Samsungs and LG, especially LG, is phenomenal...I would NEVER buy any of those! So if you bods out there have MUG written on your forehead, go get one of those....LOL!
lets see...compared to n95 8gb: worse battery, no infraport, worse camera, smaller screen size and a bigger price tag! the only thing you get is a useless tv receiver! I know what I'd rather get.....
its just a big rip off it looks exactly like the N81 but wider with a dual slide and 5 mp camera its a big scam and a big rip off
Easy to use?
Why do some N-series phones have things under "Office", others have the same thing under "Tools" and still others under "Applications"?
1100 may be easy to use, n-series isn't, and what's with all that crap that covers your wallpaper, what's the point of putting a picture there if it's going to be obscured by shortcuts?
By the way the Samsung innov8 uses exactly the same operating system, which means it works exactly the same.
I don't like the N96 at all , it's verry slow , the accelerometer works not good at all, bad battery .. i think they didn't improve the phone , but make it worse!! I'm user of the Nokia N95 8gb , don't like it eeder, just crappy phone's in my upinion , i work in a phone shop en sony ericsson make's phone's that are from a much better quality and the disign of the N96 is really crappy.
Sorry but this is a bummer
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970m a samsung fan.. i hv used many nokia handset in d past bt none of thm provided me full fledge n quality features like samsung revolutionary celphons.. i dnt undrstnd y u guys r stil sticking wth nokia plastic cover advertised as celphns.. lolz..
Nokia is far easier to use than the SE. Honestly, if you have owned either phones you'll understand especially when your checking missed calls and so forth.
However, some designs of the SE are not bad either. The functionality will be better in some areas as oppossed to the Nokia.
Moreover, taking about the Nokia N96. I believe it is an amazing upgrade to the N95 8GB Black.
Strictly speaking I myself and the fellow majority population of the world do agree that the Nokia is the most easiest to use.
But to some amusement I would'nt be suprised if SE or LG take over soon. But at the momment Nokia is my prefered choice.
There are more people commenting on this page than actually buying it. It's what u call "overhype." I think if there is one mobile phone that deserves the hype, that has to be INNOV8, since you will get only the best when u get INNOV8. And for some people here, stop comparing INNOV8 with N96. INNOV8 is 2 steps forward while N96 is 3 steps backwards. I hope u get what I mean.
Buy it now......Listen to me.......BUY IT NOW......Its wonderful,great,amazing
I LOVE IT
