Symbian OS v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2, except it has a better camera, battery and uses a faster processor.

changes made like OS 9.3 rel. 3.2 service pack is the
advanced version of Nokia
it is much faster than OS 9.2 Rel. 3.1 as in N95,N95 8GB,N81,N82,N76 etc

I'm not saying that N96 is an innovating phone, or if it looks 2 great, or state of the art, but i would prefer it a million times more than lousy Samsung phones, even few years from now ( of course, not including INNOV8 or Omnia, which are exceptions to the crappy samsung OS, out-dated even by the first Symbian phone). By the way, anyone knows if INNOV8 is well-built because i had a lot of friends that problems with Samsung phones regarding the slide and overall build-quality

yeah, too bad it has such a poor battery, and no xeon flash.... getting sick of N-series, i've switched to E71 from n95,N95-8G,N82 , and it's so much better looking and fast, and besides camera you can do almost anything N-series can. Too bad nokia can't make a "perfect" phone

N96, N85 and N79 are quite disappointing products from Nokia. These are just more or less exact replicas of N95 8GB, N95 and N82. They don't differ much in terms of functionality. They are created to give customers plenty of options to choose from. So, Samsung is taking the lead this time with their all-in-one multimedia powerhouse Samsung INNOV8 and their touchscreen flagship device, Samsung OMNIA. Nokia loses to Samsung this time. I think Nokia should fire the engineers and designers who developed N96, N85 and N79. Nokia is always behind other mobile phone companies when it comes to innovation. APPLE which is not even a mobile phone company was the first to revolutionize touch based screen devices. And it took 2 long years for Nokia to create their iPhone version! Nokia is stuck with 5MP camera phones. While all other mobile phone companies have their 8MP camera phones already released in the market. Nokia is paying attention to lousy innovations that don't matter like DVB-H. Nobody needs it since its not yet widespread and I think it will take at least 5 more years to become fully available globally. N96 was released too late. 16GB cards is now available. N96 should've been released a year ago when news about 16GB cards was not yet flourishing so people would be excited about it.
Anyways, don't get me wrong. These are just my opinions and I believe everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. And Nokia should listen to my opinion because I believe my opinion is right!
And don't get me wrong again. My remarks are constructive criticisms unlike most opinions here which are purely rubbish! Hahaha!
Nevertheless, I still love Nokia. And I'm still going to buy an N85 because I'm a Nokia fangirl. Hahaha!

I allways buy every other phone except Nokia. The most of them was Samsungs (x120, D500, D600, D800, D900, u900...) but there was some Sony, Ericson, Sagem, Panasonic ...etc.. My phone for now is Moto V8. I just want some nice looking and in first place excelent construction and quality of materials , LOUD talking sound-because phone is for talking in first place. All that with fair price. Nokia ...... not single one of that. Mass production , childish cheapoplastik look , allways overpriced...NO THANKS. Never in this live.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Lmaol....its funny that all the qualities u'v claimed that samsung hav are in fact Nokia's.....the Only worthy oponent 2 the N95 8GB was The Samsung G810.....and clearly that is 1 samsung im bound 2 own the rest im afrid i dnt hav the money 2 waist on cheep duilt phones ....Eg....my GF droped her D900i emede8ly out of the box and it broke....countles of other friends hav their silver cromings peal of..in2 white cheep plastic look....i could go on and on about Samsungs problems.....The fact that u here in a Nokia N96 post wich the rules of the forum clearly state no erelevancy....comment on the product not advertise sammsung....may i ask u did samsung pay you.... hehehehehe
any way get a life bro read a book or beta yet Get A GIRLFIEND!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best and sexiest phone that nokia had ever made.It has everything and i am using it with passion.Full marks to nokia for a successful launch of N96.In one word i can say Awsome and Amazing

I guess nokia is ... moreIf I may suggest, to get a longer battery life please disable your BLUETOOTH & WLAN and you'll see the difference. Hope that works out for you. I have use N95 8GB for the past one year and it is working fine for me. Good luck,,,,,

Don't make a WAR between (nokia & samsung) it's wrong,In all my life i never bought a samsung mobile...why?...because samsung is not like NOKIA...Nokia has a global market you can repair you phone in any place in the world..you can buy accessories for it also the software is available on the net .. Nokia give you the best mobile phone software (Symbian) and the best computer programe (Nokia PC suite) with (video maneger,music maneger,converter,back up,software updater,map maneger,application installer,PC sync) and give you all the support you need, ALSO don't forget the great mobile programs and games and themes that you can find it easily on the net,Nokia provide you A (HIGH-END) stuffs (mobiles,headphones,battery.....) and a good price and good warrenty>>>>>>>>WHAT I WANT AFTER THAT? its a cool company works for my pleasure why i buy from another company FOR a game that work on that phone and didn't work on the Nokia, I DON'T BUY A PHONE FOR GAMES I WANT TO USE ALL ITS FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE IN ANOTHER THINGS,I WANT GOOD SUPPORT,I WANT GOOD MATERIALS,I WANT GLOBAL WARRENTY,I WANT AVILABLE EASY SOFTWARES.NOKIA GIVE THAT I DON'T WANT SOMETHING ELSE.
