But why pay ridiculous price of a phone with hardly N95's specs when you can buy an 8meg from other manufacturers of the lower price. Sure, 5meg is enough for now, but everyone will surely love to have an upgrade of 3meg res of a phone with lesser price or the same price as of N96.
All these people saying "oh the Nokia is not so good as it only has 5mp!" Oh for goodness sake? Are you buying a phone or a camera? 5mp is enough. If you are in to excellent photography buy a proper camera!
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2008already 5 models with 8 megapixel and many more: one s.e.,two lg,two samsung. innov8 it's alre... morewe just dont need just 8MP here, we need a total all-in-one device, tv, camera and everything else. who says 8 megapixel is important among regular and normal people when experts tell us that 3.2 is even enough for regular used? your hit by a marketing fraud..
i have been using n73 recently,then i bought n81 8gb,and i guess its more kewl then n96.because there's nothing special in it....
already 5 models with 8 megapixel and many more: one s.e.,two lg,two samsung. innov8 it's already on the market at the same price with n96. so don't waste on money on nokia
Have been using N73 for two years, and very happy. Been due an upgrade for six months but been hanging on for N96 -but now not so sure.
does the phone have loudspeaker for hands-free? Is there any point to the tv-will we be able to access any programs yet? Battery life is another issue. Gsm and Nokia seem to be at odds over battery life. Can anyone give a reasonable, honest estimate? Once you buy it you are stuck with it and it's not cheap. Can anyone answer there questions please. Someone who has actually used this phone. Thank you
Anonymous, 25 Sep 2008it packs some serious specifications but i'm quite dissapointed with nokia for downgrading fro... moreactually the processor of n96 has advantages and disadvantages over the n95 processor. the advantages are its processor gives high quality sound and video playback and consumes minimal battery power so 950mah battery is expected to last even longer than 1200mah battery of n95 8gb. the disadvantages are its slower than the n95 processor and has no 3d graphics accelerator. the reason why n96 does not have 8mp camera is because n96 is just an update of n95 8gb. the camera of n96 is actually a downgrade of the n95 camera. it has smaller lens and shorter focal length than n95 camera.
Anonymous, 25 Sep 2008i don't agree with u..some specifications are better on n96 and some others on i8510.. innov8... morecorrection: the n96 does not have a 3d graphics accelerator. the i8510 innov8 has. n96 and i8510 innov8 both have dsp chip with i8510 providing much better sound quality.
This is a great phone. I have personally used it myself and reviewed the phone here as well http://nzmobiles.com/phones/58/58.html
This phone is just too good. I think its even better than the 1100
This is the best and the most desirable phone ever......according to me.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i don't agree with u..some specifications are better on n96 and some others on i8510..
innov8 has a better camera and faster hsdpa(7.2mbps the one and 3.6mbps the other) while n96 has dedicated graphics processor, and faster gprs (class 32 the nokia and class 10 the i8510)..so it's up to u to decide which one suits u the most..
Nokia phone is good but....if they can upgrade into Windows Sys much better and sych outlook
it packs some serious specifications but i'm quite dissapointed with nokia for downgrading from 332mhz processor to 264mhz...another dissapointing thing is that it's the 3rd generation of nokia's top of the range phone that has the same 5 mpix camera..! why didn't they put an 8 mpix one on it..?
