Kal, 22 Sep 2008Hey I was just wondering what that dual slide on N96 is for actually. Hope you could answer. I... moreIts simple Portrait and landscape orientation....
you get the same media keys and nevi-wheel on both oriantations.
Nokia realised that some peope prefer Portrait and would have liked 2 hav the media keys available in there fav orinatation...
So u'v 2 options....insted of 1...
U might wanna wait on getting any mobile till beginning of next year, Nokia has through a developer in Finland called Imbera, successfully been able to do the elektrowiring straight FLAT on to the main process card instead of having a thick one above it like in present phones. Now Nokia can make phones as thin as just 1 mm, yes u heard right, 1 mm, adding the same technology to onboard mobile camera lenses can make ordinary mobile with 5-8 mp camera as thins as 2-3 mm. So i'm looking forward to the Nokia release announcement in first qtr of 2009 with this breakthrough. Now Nokia has a whole new world of mobile tehnology to play with, interesting too say the least.
Kenzo, 22 Sep 2008Absolutely true.....finaly some 1 who sees the light and speeks the truth 4 wat it is.... The... moreHey I was just wondering what that dual slide on N96 is for actually. Hope you could answer. It make sense in original N95 and N95 8gb cos they have those music control on the dual slide only. Now the N96 front panel design has changed to pretty much like N81 and it already has play/pause/stop/next control keys on the D-pad as well. So why do one need to slide the damn thing down for? Are those keys have other purpose? just wondering!! Cheers!
Not trying to be rude or anything, but truthfully, this phone looks really gay to me... Doesn't look very comfortable for games though... But the media control keys are really nice, better than the n95 8gig ones, especially when playing GBA games or similar using those buttons... it slips really easily out of your hands though... The only downside it's going to cost a lot... but with around 22gigs of storage ... *drool*... well if I become successful, I will buy this babe :) For now, I am sticking with my n95 8gb.... its basically the same, just different design... and less storage, but still it's kick ass ;)

*** I have just brought mine today. And I must say it is delightful. It is hard to flaw, there have been minor improvements on the N95. But the great thing is now I can store more and it is faster at accessing everything. Plus it is super hot. I thoroughly reccomend ***
Had a look at it today its not impressive at all in my opinion the N85 will be the one to get and will more likly be cheaper completlty unimpressed.
