i just got mine a few hours ago with contract from addictedtophones.com total comes to around $750. not too bad I guess. How much did everyone pay?
can anyone tell me how to get voice-guided navigation for free? Or do I have to pay? Do I have to get the internet plan to access the GPS? Sorry, I'm a noob

I got N96 yesterday with contract. So, reasonable price. The ph design is simply cool especially from front. I will write full opinion later. Naviwheel is disabled i think. ANyway, I never used Naviwheel models b4. But for those who own N95/8gb, no need to change this ph unless u concern abt design.

dont compare samsung i8510 innov8 with n96. theyre of different class. samsung innov8 is an all-rounder focusing on camera & music. nokia n96 is also an all-rounder focusing on video & live tv. samsung innov8 has an 8mp camera that gives the best image quality among all camera phones today. it also has the best sound quality among all music phones. while n96's camera is a downgrade from n95's camera. n95 has a focal length of 5.7, n96 has a focal length of only 5.2. and n96's camera has a smaller lens than n95 so it gives worse image quality than n95.

im nokia fan i use now iphonie 16gb and i can wait for N96....my next phone so i will give my iphonie to my 14 yr sister,my don't understand
why people like iphonies very bad phone in my opinion.

I thinks its not a good buy. The best is to wait a couple of weeks - months to have a reasonable price. This has nothing essential over n95 8gig. Rather buy the innov8.

Buy this phone and it would look no different then the Nokia N81. come on Nokia wh... morenokia will use the design language of n81 to many upcoming phone models. that design concept is already patented. just like apple's ipod. don't you notice that from ipod shuffle to ipod video, they all have common design pattern? and look at ipod touch, iphone and iphone 3g.. those design concepts are patented and can exclusively be used only by apple. so going back to n96, n96 uses the design language of n81 and dual slide form used first in n95. because all of those design concept are patented by nokia. they will not use it once, but they will use it in many of their phone models. nokia has patented another 2 design concepts: the first one will be used in the rumored 7 or 8mp upcoming n97, a slider with rotating camera on the top of the phone. the second is a triple slider, it slides up and down to reveal the alphanumeric keypad and media keys, it also slides sideway to reveal the qwerty keyboard. watch out for that. search the nokia and symbian blogs if you don't believe.

N81 Ripoff. Buy this phone and it would look no different then the Nokia N81. come on Nokia what happend? didn't you guys used to surprise the market by releasing the best smartphones? I mean the N85 is looking better then the crappy N96. it has been 2 years and Nokia hasn't changed anything of specs from the N95. If you have a N95 just buy a 16gb microsd card and if you are really wanting a new smartphone with upgraded features, I woud recomend the Samsung i8510 as for an upgrade

if u guys are not satisfied with either nokia or samsung or iphone, please create your own phone and stop talking stupid stuff about other phones. btw, n96 looks great. what is da price right now?
