ABBA, 22 May 2011shud i buy this cellIt's very nice phone, but it's a little bit slowly
I don't agree with the statement that the phone can play music for 14 hours. I have this phone and I get maybe about 5 to 6 hours of music play.
I placed clear tape on the top and under sides of the flex cable so that it do not break. I then place a small amount of vaseline on the tape to allow smooth gliding of the flex cable. I hope the phone last me longer as a result. Had mine 4 2 years now.
floree, 01 May 2011pls my n96 cannot end calls wen i slide down but can accept calls wen i slide up. pls is dis a... moreit is a feature of this phone, when the slider is moved down the call is cut. the phone is functioning normal.
i was using nokia n95 8gb before
my n95 8gb had 3D Graphics and nice HD game like Asphalt 3&4
and NFS UNDERCOVER HD plus SPIDER MAN 3 movie
And my n95 8gb used to last for 3 days though i played music, games&watch spider man 3 movie
Now with my new n96 i am experiencing a lot of problems
(1) my 1st problem is the battery that last for only 5hrs
have to charge it twice a day
(2) this doesnt configure my mtn-sa OTA e-mail setting it says format unknown when i ask for mtnloaded e-mail
so now it means i dont have e-mail on my phone have to go to the internet to retrieve my e-mail inbox
(3) this phone's keypads are so hard to press and the navi wheel doesnt operate well e.g when i want to scroll up it select or enter instead of scrolling up
so everytime when i want to scroll up i let it auto-rotate then navigate to the other way round then auto-rotate it again and again
(4) with my n95 8gb camera i used to take good pictures during the day&night but n96 fail to do that
its like its got a VGA camera
(5) keypad lights light the whole day no auto-sensor for on&off
(6)video quality its bad unlike mp4 dvd like quality in n95 8gb
i hate this phone i am thinking about to buy another n95 8gb or n900 next month
u must be nuts coz i've got nokia n96 and it doesnt have slide handling setting
u must be using fake one from china

AnonD-8096, 09 May 2011pls is it good for gaming and applications?Yes,the n96 is a symbian phone....and since symbian is an old operating system there are plenty of apps and games for it!
hey guys my n96 working properly.but i have a big problem.i can't access to the internet with my n96.it never receving hsdpa(3g) signal.it only idintify gsm signals.please help me guys.im in big problum.what should i do now????
kimmy, 04 May 2011what you mean capacitive and ressesive touch?Capacitive touchscreem....it's very responsive,it can only be operated with your fingers(skin in general).....resistive....more difficult to operate with your fingers, but it has the advantage that it can be operated with a stylus,a pencil a nail or whatever...A capacitive touch is better...Haven't used 5800 so can't tell enything about it....N96 has a good quality of pictures and videos, large internal memory, pretty fast....The music quality is pretty good and loud....but keep in mind that 5800 is a dedicated music phone.....overall I think n96 is a good phone and if you can get it at a good price I think it's worth it!
