iolo003, 03 Sep 2008finally this phone is now officially release! c", i do hope that i can afford to buy one. 6 ... moredont expect too much that its price will drop down substantially. this phone is not meant to be mass marketed and thus will only be produced in moderate volume just like n93i and n95 8gb models. n93i's never came down lower than php25,000 before it was phased out. n95 8gb is already discontinued after less than a year of being launched and its price is still around php25,000. it will soon be phased out also. looking at this perspective, n96 is most likely to take the same path.
finally this phone is now officially release!

i do hope that i can afford to buy one. 6 months later i guess when the price cuts starts
i have held the prototype this mornming... not that much large... esaily slidesa nad ebautiful in person....
n96 will launch on 10nth septeber. booking on all retailer is going on.
After announcing a product you should not delay it more than three months because if the competition has something on it´s sleeve they will have the time to alter their product specs in order to launch it faster and have a more equipped and competitive product.N96´s specs sound now like a blast from the past.Too long, too late Nokia.
a-m-a-z-i-n-g-!
It is true that the 16gb memory goes currupt and the tv tuner doesnt work and to top it all the memory card slot can only take 256mb cards nothin more, this is A real disapointment
Go to samsung i8510 instead of this ohone. same cell as n96 and cheap one....8 mp camera with samae functions.

A powerful 8megapixel KING will Rise to the ocassion & obliterate the competion it will be called ...N ... shhh!Everyone believes tht the prince N96 is the new crowned KING for NOKIA bt i predict differently... N96 is only the begining of the Ultra supreme N-series Line up along with its lastest siblins The Majestic N85 the fashion savy N79
Shame on nokia. They are making some very questionable marketing decisions. First off they overpricing the N96, that in essence has no real substantial evidence to justify cost. The only significant thing about this phone is the platform in which the os is ran on. Furthermore, they issue numerous devices that are equivalent with one another in terms of specifications. The nseries use to be the series of innovation, however nokia puts unjustafiable pricing on their devices and saturate their own brand. This form of phsycological pricing futher confuses the consumer on a sense of "value" when conserning the phones in which they advertise. Hopefully the get it together because they appear more in competition with themselves.
Anonymous, 01 Sep 2008is it tru it has a xenon flash??? fone has been launched now in sum places plz sum1 help...No this device doesn't have a Xenon flash. It has a dual led instead. Which is unfortunate considering the $900 price tag.
it does nt hav a xenon flash its a dual LED flash u can better imagine it like putting two N95 flashes together
The N96 is only currently available for PRE-ORDER directly from Nokia. It has not been release yet in UK due for release 1st October
