Preith, 19 Aug 2008When is this phone commining? It's long I have been waiting for it. Most phones released in Fe... morewill be available in uk 2nd week in october
I will probably wait a few months after the release, there is a strong rumor in here in Finland that Nokia is going to release a "jet black, not an ordinary black shiny colour" N96 end of the year, like they did with the N82 and the N95(in a way), and both of them turned out hotter and more stylish.
What i was even told by my sisters husband who works at Nokia developement in addition to the rumours ive heard, that not only is the phone black, but even the buttons and the naviwheels is black with silver markings on them, that sounds nice, so i will wait, the are already developing the model ive been told, but it wont be annpounced til end of Nov or something and then will be released a month later.
I am from India. Nokia officially launched the N96 phone today in the market.
As per the News, its gonna be available in the market just 2 days before the official launch of iphone in India.
So the big question is .... Is N96 an iphone Killer ???
just seen on www.jaspp.net the news about the N85 an N79 they both look really slim mobiles from Nokia ,an the N79 in White looks very good indeed hope gsmarea or mobile-review give us the specifications on both these new mobiles from Nokia soon
When is this phone commining? It's long I have been waiting for it. Most phones released in February are available what about this one.

Fantastic Specs on Paper..
Nokia has been gracious enough to the Indian audience by providing plenty of Bollywood freebies. The N96 will come preloaded with the movie ‘Om Shanti Om’, 50 music videos, music tracks in Hindi and English and 3 N-Gage games with an unlimited license on for the 3rd edition of Asphalt Urban. It will also have 3 country Nokia Maps that include Singapore, UAE and of course India and a 3 month Navigation license for 8 Indian cities
Kenzo, 17 Aug 2008fool which part of Dual...didnt u understand...?.....the procesor has a dual core.....meaning ... moreNot true. Dual core does not automatically mean twice as fast. More efficient, but not outright twice as powerful.
i own a N95 and it's by far better than any other phone in the market the only thing that is not upto the standards is the battery talk time.
the N96 sounds like a great phone and the features look very good on paper, the only thing that worries me once again is the battery, apart from that i can't wait to get my self one of these beauties!!
nokia do not have touch screens, as they dont need them. why put money into touch screen when average buttons work just as well?
I think n96 has a lot of problems to have a super late release. Think of its battery. Also nokia is playing safe, not releasing this phone until 8meg from Samsung and SE is released. So the price of this phone will be high. I think people should not buy this phone because in a couple of months Nokia will have their 8meg phone.
N96 launched in India Today !!!

Kenzo, 18 Aug 2008cc stands 4 the volume of displacement taken by the phone or object....Thanks
definitely not worth upgrading from N82!
the price does not justify the extra features
Well I thought samsung i8510 was the only phone giving the n96 competition. Never saw the samsung i900 OMNIA. Thinking of upgrading to it in the future. but not too sure about games. And its cheaper than the n96!!!!! The N96 is the most expensive phone on the market but not the best. Go for the Omnia or wait until Nokia brings out some thing better.
