nokia is the best, people in here talking about samsung this and whatever, but the bottom line is nokia is the market leader for cell phones. they will continue to revolutionize the industry. they sit and watch others rush their products and look for their mistakes. then nokia hits everyone with the good stuff. nokia will always be number one. half of the time why people complain about nokis is same reason some of you posters do, you cant handle the specs and the phone itself. so just get something else if you cant hang with nokia.
Nokia got a big decision to make now is it worth releasing the N96 or not,as they have not announced nothing yet to challenge the Samsung or Sony Ericsson 8 mega-pixel camera mobiles,i was really hucked on waiting for the N96 but now the Samsung mobile as really got excited as its released in August as the N96 might be late August early September or October so whats used waiting for the N96 if the i850 from Samsung is a much better mobile as i haven"t upgraded yet from my Black 8gb N95 an just using a sim monthly contract till something i like become available an the Samsung mobile looks like my Black 8gb N95 an is really worth getting before the N96,so lets see Nokias reaction soon an i bet there kicking themselves taking so long to release the N96, as the others are way ahead of them now an are trailing miles behind them as they like to be the leaders but now there stupid bleeders for there cock-up
its not good asking people to choose for yourself
its your choice.

n96 has the same battery problem like simple n95.
but n95 8gb has much more good battery by both of them.
u can check the talk time and standby time of all these 3 sets.
N96 will be a huge flop. There's nothing new with this phone. I mean, even a 2-year old N95 is better than this. It doesn't even have a 3D graphics chip and the processor is going backwards, ARM 9?!? The only thing that it does that N95 cannot do is DVB-H. But even N95 8GB is better than this. Who will buy N96? People who will be misled! I'd rather buy a N95-1 and also buy 2 8Gb cards than buy N96 if I want 16Gb in a phone! Much better and much cheaper! Because I can't think of any reason why I should get the N96 rather than any of the N95 variants! Will I get this phone for DVB-H? No! Will I get it for 5Mp? Absolutely no! I'll go for N82 rather or even N95 or 6220c. Will I get N96 because of 16Gb? No way! I'd rather buy three 8Gb cards or a 16Gb card for my N95!
Anonymous, 25 Jul 2008I would love to see a Nokia N96 versus Samsung i8510 INNOV8 review/article. That would be cool... moreI think so. innovate and C905 are direct rivals...
and for me innovate will eat the whole of C905
samsung i8510 innov8 or the i900 omnia or this n96 . I thought i was going to buy nokia but after searching. I am lost.

unfortunately with N96 being offered with the same price bracket that of N95 8gb, $480, they have to drop the 3D to gave way to DVB-H
quite fare thou
i just learned that nokia n96 does not have the 3D graphics accelerator which is used by flagship nseries phones like n93, n95 & n82. a big step backward! i'm glad samsung innov8 i8510 did not go the same path and include the 3D graphics engine in it.
Its called marketing strategy!
They have found out thru market research that 8MP is not a hype among majority of regular buyers and there targeting their products to this majority of users not only to the few.
Nokia will come out with other innovations other than camera where it has reached focal point.
I do predict they will continue their market leadership because of this smart moves.
nokia r the best and will remain the best let s/e and samsung rush there 8mp plastic camera phones out and let nokia sweep them up off the floor! If there was a market at this moment in time nokia would have released a 8mp by now! Nokia will hold back and learn from mistakes/faults from s-e and samsung and will yet again release not the best but thee very best! U have been warned!
Anonymous, 25 Jul 2008 Ok. I'll be the judge. First off, i've been searching for the best phone overall and yes, th... moreDon't you worry about Nokia getting boring or oversaturating their 5 mpx cameraphone offer. They will come with innovation, for sure, as it always has.
And don't worry that they're falling behind with no 8 mpx cameraphones. They will blow up Samsung's super-duper-feature-packed i8510 to dust. I'm confident about that. And I don't consider myself a Nokia fanatic. To be honest, i8510 is a truly... brilliant all-in-one device, *but* a Nokia response will come eventually. The true competition is all that matters, and I'd love to see and discuss it when the time comes.
when wud diz fone be realeased we are tired of waiting diz fone is de bomb from nokia..yal digg!!
Yes, Nokia is getting boring nowadays. They're copying their very own phones. N78 and N96 copied N81's design. N82 and N96 copied N95's features only in a different casing. I wonder what N79 and N85 has in store. Rumor has it that N79 and N85 have the same 5MP camera like N95. If that's true, there will 6 Nseries phones and 1 4-digit Nokia phone model that have 5MP camera, a total of 7 5Mp Nokia cameraphones. That's getting boring, you know. What's happening to Nokia?
I would love to see a Nokia N96 versus Samsung i8510 INNOV8 review/article. That would be cool. But I don't think N96 is the direct rival of i8510. It could be SE C905 but C905 is not a smartphone and only has 8MP camera but the rest of the features are already outdated. So it only means Samsung i8510 INNOV8 doesn't have any direct rival at the moment. It's way ahead the rest, even N96 doesn't come close when it comes to features.
Now that's Samsung i8510 is going to be out really soon, there's no point of getting the N96 now. I mean, both of them have the same price, but the Samsung phone has a lot more to offer so I think it's not practical to buy a N96.
