The only thing worth comparing now is the price and the picture quality, where again I am pretty sure that samsung will score better.

SE Admin, 25 Jul 2008and they didn't I will really understimate Samsung products because there quality is very b... moreno mobile phone company can stand on its own. every electronics company, as mobile phone companies, buy raw materials from other companies. it is only them who assemble these materials into finished products. say for example, nokia's mass produced cameras were manufactured by toshiba, the screen is from samsung, the n95 camera optics is a carl zeiss branded which is manufactured by konica minolta, the cmos sensor is again from samsung. infact, swmsung is biggest provider of hardware materials for used by every other mobile phone and electronics corporattion. what is so fantastic about nokia is how they developed the s60 platform, how they put together all chips and technologies they bought from other companies and assemble it, and market it. that's how it goes! no company can provide itself hardware, software and os at the same time without buying from other companies except APPLE. but now even APPLE buy their touchscreen LCD from samsung and even other hardware components/chips of the iphone from other companies. samsung bought license of s60 from nokia. nokia as what i've mentioned buy their hardware from other companies as well. so i think you dont know what you're saying. samsung can make and does make high quality products. you're being too illogical because of you're bad expetience with a samsung phone. what if you happened to buy a samsung innov8 i8510 and you got to try its its high quality standard as far as technology, innovation and build are concerned, would your opinion change? browse the samsung phones here in gsmarena and see how many high tech and high quality products samsung has. nokia ia just starting with touchscreens, samsung has already beaten the iphone with thir omnia. nokia is not the only one that can make great phones. samsung can, in its own rights!

Only Samsung do that, there just good on the outside but the internal parts are worse..

I will really understimate Samsung products because there quality is very bad.. I don't think I'll buy a single product from them, that's a lesson learned from releasing poor quality products.. Search the web, im just one of the million who experience bad quality products made by samsung.
And they don't even have their own OS to used c", Their using Symbian OS which is Nokia owned and you call that great? Call iPhone great beacuse they have their own OS
Nokia N96 is undeniably the most complete entertainment phone to date. not just a camera where you boast your Samsung have. such a poor argument u have.
Samsung cant even measure to the product support that Nokia users can get with their products. not even a quarter c",
So why so proud of Samsung with all this flaws? Its about peoples experience that they gain loyalty from customers, and certainly samsung is poor in that.

Look at how funny looks like specially when... moresamsung i8510 innov8 is more innovative than nokia n96. infact, i8510 innov8 is what n96 should've been in the first place. optical mouse better than fancy naviwheel, faster 7.2mbps hsdpa, dnse 3d surround sound, 8mp camera that shoots 120fps of qvga videos as well as vga 30fps videos, and backed up by a 1200mah battery! that's the true multimedia powerhouse. who needs dvb-h anyway? samsung can make dvb-h phones if they like since in korea they already launched couple of tv phones,but they find it still unnecessary right now. don't underestimate samsung. they're number 1 electronics company in the world. most of the hardware used by nokia comes from samsung. and only s60 is the one bought by samsung from nokia. samsung phones are durable phones! they're not made of cheap glossy plastic like nokia!

it has 8MP yes but i'm not paying more MP because 5MP is just enough to produce great result, it just add up to the price
DIVX yes but Meida player of N96 shows good video as well..again extra price for nothing
No DVB-H receiver for Samsung..
The quality of Samsung products is a big problem, very vurnerable to breakage.. Cant imagine buying expensive phone that easily breaks into pieces. TRUST is the word, I dont trust Samsung anymore..
Nokia has the best product support, the best innovative softwares. The best up to date software updates

When is this phone going to be officially released for sale and where? So far, everyone says Sep 2008 in the UK first, yet there is a seller in Finland (via ebay!) that claims to have 30 in stock! WTF?

All I can say is, it will take a customer so much brand loyalty to nokia to still prefer the N96 over Samsung INNOV8 i8510. Samsung INNOV8 i8510 is the new king now! Nokia's plans are not focused on 8MP camera phones. They are more inclined to developing touchscreen phones for the moment. See, Nokia's future devices are N79, N85 which are still on 5MP, and 5800, the first S60 touch UI.

which is better? nokia's very own "naviwheel" or samsung's optical mouse?
optical mouse - this takes the form of a touch pad (as on laptops) like control in the centre of the d-pad. it can be used to move around the UI or as for mouse-like functionality in the S60 browser.

Guys, im really wondering if this phone could even last for the whole day. Of course, depending on how you use the phone. That's the basis. But what if for a heady user like me?
It has loads of features but I have some doubts if the battery could handle it and make it til the end of the day, til i got home.
