Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970your probably right, but then N95 owners will not be attracted buying this phone because u own a great phone as well, they will market this phone not to replace N95 but to attract non owners of N95 like me.
C905 have promising specs but until now they have not release any preview of it because it might not be as great it was expected and N96 is way way way to great in specs than C905, if you look closely and compare booth, what C905 has that N96 dont have is the 8MP only. N96 wont even be left behind in imaging.

to all people arguing over this and c905 i got n95 8gb and k850i both in oct last year by the time n96 and c905 are both available n95 8gb and k850i will be 1year old so imagine my dissapointment when nokia only fetch out this boring phone with no major features better than my n95 8gb thankfully s/e who never let me down launch the greatest handset to date ever made in the c905 come on nokia any one with common sense who has already n95 8gb will not pay a fortune to upg to this n81 lookalike cos it no different to n95 8gb come on nokia move with the 8mp times!

Nokias going to put a xenon flash on the N96 thats why its taking a bit of time for it to become available thats the news i got from NokiaBlog they say it might be a rumour but someone as assured them its the real news,i hope the news is correct an this will improve the quality of the N96 more,i have just checked on the Carphone Warehouse website an the release of the N96 is not while October so ages yet for this Amazing mobile

iphone is a good phone but not enough to be compared to N96..
way way way to far
N96 is like a complete phone and iphone is like a crippled phone that lacks one arm, head and feet, just all hype and publicity nothing more..

ughhh! almost same as n95 8gb!!jus the mem doubled and the dvd-h! they should have made this a qwerty keyboard so il buy it...just my suggestion!peace out!

in the philippines you can use dvb-h for free. n92 & n77 users can atest to that. the problem is n96 only has 950mah battery compared to n92 which has a whopping 1500mah, so i think you wont enjoy watching mobile tv in n96 for long. by the time n96 gets available in the philippines, i hope n95 8gb price will drop a lot so i can finally buy it! i cant see wat n96 can do that n95 8gb cant except for dvb-h. n96 is a enhanced n95 8gb, double the memory but the battery has been sacrificed. n95 8gb is my dream phone. i hope n96 will be released soon so n95 8gb's price will drop a lot so i can finally buy it. if i have n95 8gb i wont be needing n96 anymore!

i hope to get the n96 when it releases here in the US...in 2 years LOL hopefully, it wont be so expensive by then
and hopefully tmobile by then will have a 3g network set up

I'll definately be getting this when it comes out. I'm from Australia and I will NOT be buying it outright. I'll just get a cheaper one from eBay :)
My N95 GPS is gone and I'll be replacing my N95 with this!

this phone is very thick compared to apple iphone or samsung i900 Omnia. The 18mm thickness should be cut in half.

But that doesn't keep me from wondering what was in that guy's mind. Maybe he just heard about mobiles, 12 mpx cameras, 80GB memories etc, and solar panels, came up with a genius idea and asked himself why on Earth can't Nokia make a phone that has all that crap.

guys do u know what the code/s to be input to know if the phone you will buy is really brand new??
someone told me that its *#0000# but i dont think so coz its for the manufactured date.
