Blay, 12 Jun 2008Steven, according to play.com they are releasing the Nokia N96 on the 31st of July. They ar... moreThanks Blay! I've been a SE fan since I got my K800 - best phone i've ever had - then I got the K850 and I have never hated a phone so much! It's just rubbish compared to it's Predecessor, always freezing, erasing info, having to do a master reset ever 2 months cos it won't let you into your inbox, camera lights stay on when you change your application, decides to go slow sometimes whilst composing text, I could go on, roll on N96 release!!!
Dolving999, 12 Jun 2008Yeah, this is a hell of a phone... But please! 600 bucks for an upgrade of the n95?
Here in P... moreHi Dolving,
I know what you mean. But then again when the original N95 came out it was just as much. I think a little more?
Yeah, this is a hell of a phone... But please! 600 bucks for an upgrade of the n95?
Here in Portugal, not even the e90 costs as much! I sure hope it gets below 400$...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Steven,
according to play.com they are releasing the Nokia N96 on the 31st of July. They are taking pre-orders. Although Nokia has not released any press statement regarding the truth of this matter. There has been people who have claimed August, September release dates.
Even so, there's no official release date.
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2008Better than n82, n95 8gb but not better than samsung i900.... Because it is touch, window mobi... morehmmmm i hope you're right about the expansion slot thing. According to the press release datasheet at the nokia website, it only use the 8Gb MicroSD as an example. Perhaps when it comes out the N96 would support up to 16GB as well.
But again, I don't understand. Why is everyone comparing the touch phones with the N96? I've said again and again, the N96 is a button phone. There are no other button-based phones that can match what the N96 has to offer.
Better than n82, n95 8gb but not better than samsung i900.... Because it is touch, window mobile and everybody is sure that i900 camera is better than n96.... Ohh i forget... For music lovers U can extend memory in n96 upto (16 + 8) 24 gb while in i900 u can extend upto (16 +16) 32 gb...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970lol i would be if you can prove that you really do have it hhaahaha come on then, write up a review!
16GB?? good. But takes how long to load files when filled up to about 10GB?? i am wondering the speed of switching on the phone. Maybe 10 minutes??
You don't have one, you're bluffing.
If by chance you own something that looks like this and is supposedly an "N96" then it's obviously a fake.
eric87, 11 Jun 2008yeahhhh best mobile for me!!!!!!!!! i bought it yesterday changed it with the n95. therse not ... moreOh is that right? Before Nokia even sold any to phone company in the WORLD, YOU'VE somehow managed to buy one? from where might i ask?
yeahhhh best mobile for me!!!!!!!!! i bought it yesterday changed it with the n95. therse not a big diference accept for the tv tuner and more buetifull design.. but when i brouht it i sad why 2 pair of music buttons?..... by the way. best mobile ever!
Really!! 5megapixels, 30 fps video, Carl Zeis optics etc... and NO XENON FLASH! REALLY!!!
This is just ridiculous! I thought they were past this stage when the N82 came out!
Seriously Nokia! That goes for all those other LED camera phone makers!
Full of features!!! N95 but attractive!!!
Fantastic! Oh... wait... No xenon flash! OK!
I change my opinion to useless!!
Andy Burgin, 10 Jun 2008All the Nokia fanatics go onto www.jaspp.net an you will see all the latest Nokia news an toda... moreHey andy thanks for the link to the site... i think i used .com instead of .net last time hahahaa anyways the spanish to english translation is a bit hard to follow but the basic information is still great!
prince, 11 Jun 2008Ok. Is the flash of the camera xenon or LED. Please get this cleared for me. Thank u. Another ... moreI cannot tell you which is better but personally, i think i'm not ready to move to touch screen yet. Button phones work fine for me. It might also come to style too... the Omnia looks more like a girl's phone.
Oh and I was sick of Samsungs. My past 3phones have been samsungs and i've been hearing good things about the Nokias so i'm going to give them a go. My last phone was a U700, apart from the excellent camera, the rest of the phone was a huge disappointment.
carloud, 11 Jun 2008hehehe
sir dani software were never a problem for the n95 even on pre-20 firmware
and ram ... morecarloud, it actually does feature a naviwheel. www.mobile-review.com reviewed the prototype and they claim that it has a naviwheel.
As for the xenon flash. I've never used the Xenon flash before but i have seen some photo comparisons of xenon and LED flash. Nokia says that the dual LEDs in the N96 is supposed to be better for the phone's battery.
