But memory + microsd feature make him perfect fone...2.8''HSPDA OS9.3 FP2 Cam and place of the 3.5mm jack..these are also perfect

But I thınk NOKIA will release new phone no sooner than thiz fone..

    Maybe N96i or N97(98) N96fold n96xxxedition...

Nokia ... if only you GPS your 5mpx phones without taking a backward step on battery stanby. Nokia 'all in one 5mpx' ie N95,N96&N82 please please stop dishing out poor stanby phones. Its like driving car that with a coke can for a fuel tank. So if there any engineers from Nokia Reading this, fix the stanby problem on 5mpx GPS phones. It is possible to extend the stanby on the battery through better design ie thin the phone out and make most of the back end the battery ... take the Nokia 6210 as a design example (that old phone would last 5-7 days with use)

Damn, just when will Nokia release this phone?!
              i cannot wait anymore..
the rumor started back at the beginning of the year, and it has been almost half year and there's still no sign of coming out..

yes i know the news said sometime in August or end of July, but does that mean worldwidely or just some advanced countries?
there is also NO more new news of this phone on the net! i open the site gsmarena like 3x a day! hoping to see some news of N96!

endlessz, 31 May 2008any of u think that Nokia N96i or Nokia N96 music edition or maybe even Nokia N96-32gb edition... moreLOL ;) juz lyk me. darn i should've w8d jeje. ya, releasing better spec'd phone n a jiffy s a kinda uncool but as long as d heir is genuinely better i think its a bit reasonable. apparently, victimized gadget freaks wil juz hav to sell or swap their current mobile to d supposedly better one (to stop d urge..) =)

Spotted Viper, 02 Jun 2008...... and if you think I'm way too optimistic, I just remind you that the N96 is about 102 cc... moreYou are right. Nokia should have considered placing a xenon flash into this phone, which I totally agree. But they did and they tried to provide more light in both photos and videos. Photography should (at least to me) be granted priority over video. This phone brings almost nothing over N95 in terms of video capabilities.

Now speaking of the feature-to-volume ratio, I don't quite agree with the comparison between the LG Secret and this. N96 may be bulky, and to be honest, it is a bit, but its volume is distributed to the processors and other stuff that the Secret doesn't have. The 5 mpx sensor is not that big. But perhaps you know that this device has many more features that the LG Secret doesn't have. Now I'm not saying the LG is a bad phone, because it isn't. It's not as all-in-one as this one, but feature-to-size comparison isn't fair.

And then again, it is a matter of choice.

Now this tells alot: you should be wise in distributing features over volume. so Nokia, either stuff-it-all, or chop-off some fat. If you manage this, I'll convert at once. I think this's fair enough, isn't it!

VGA 30 f... moreYou are absolutely right. but, with a phone that has a heritage of doing anything, even baking bread, and a price tag to make you lament your lost cash, it should've sported both xenon and LED. And I really can't figure out why Nokia always stuff their flagships with connectivity features and leave out worthy media ones.

I really wanna buy this phone. If only!

                          To endlessz and Spotted Viper,

Nokia N96 has all the recording power of LG Viewty. VGA 30 fps is equal in memory write speed as QVGA 120 fps, but the advantage of the LG is the compression method (DivX) which is superior to the one of N96(MPEG-4).

Xenon flash is, as I have said earlier, a compromise. It can deliver much more light than a normal LED but it can be used in video recording unlike the xenon.

Well, I wish you get it soon and have the best of fun. As for me, I'll be waiting for the Secret. If it turns to offer as much as it promissed, I'll not be less happy than you. And may be this's what it's all about, making everybody happy his own way.

                                  @ Spotted Viper:
hmm...true there, u made me realize one thing now..
similar to u, well i do want a phone to have those full connections such as 3G, WI-FI, GPS and so on and so on...however, u made me realize how rare i use those functions..
i have just realize as well how more often i use the camera function than those connections ones..
it does made me want to have a xenon flash too if possible now..
but that would mean i have to go for either K850i or N82, well since the available ones are just those two at the moment..

well i have to say i do want some of the features from other phones, such as K850i (xenon flash), or LG Viewty (120fps video recording, even though that's only in QVGA resolution), however..we can't be too greedy too..
so to sum it all up..the closest one of being.."perfect" (well sorry to say this again, since i'm kinda a gadget freak) is N96
so i guess i'm gonna go for it..

why didn't they put in the xenon flash from the N82? did the dual LED flash perform much better? They could have come up with a higher capacity battery though, perhaps 1500mAH?

And Android installed WTF! are you stupid? Android isn't even out yet, give me a break! Symbian is probably the best OS I have ever used on a phone, I will NEVER buy any other brand other than a Nokia with Symbian on it. Rocked the N73, Rocked the N95 8GB and Rocking the E51, love them all and have plans on the N96 and more as they come out!
