Nice, but lacks Infrared port...might be a deal breaker for me.
I wish it was possible to set a TV schedule using the digital TV receiver on N96 and transfer via infrared to your TV / digital TV box. Or even change TV channels by using N96 like a TV remote!
why its not in market yet. i m really want to change my N95

Nokia_N96_addict, 27 May 2008To everyone who already had a hands-on experience with the N96 prototype; do you know if this ... moreOh, and I forgot to say. I don't have a hands-on experience of N96, but it is clear that the N96 will have all the benefits of the N78 software, and maybe more. And it DOES have Navi Wheel.
It seems that, despite the fact that this forum has repeatedly debated the performance of this device, there are still many who don't know or care enough about the specs and the work that Nokia have invested into this phone.
One example is the omnipresent "problem" of the battery ("only" 950 mAh). There is to say that Nokia have not only learned from their mistake of the first N95 (battery), but they have made progress ever since the N95 8GB (1200 mAh). Progress is visible with this phone, because, if you read the first in-depth review, on mobile-review.com, you will be surprised to say that N96 outperforms even the N95 8GB in battery performance. That is because Nokia have made optimizations of the hardware components (different processor etc) and of the software, so that the user experience is still enhanced with Symbian FP2, but with less battery consumption.
Another so-called issue is that the memory would be too large and at about 3-4 GB filled the phone would respond with difficulty. We already know that a software-updated N95 8GB doesn't lag at all, regardless of the memory used. We expect even better performance from this device.
It's really amazing!!!
I like it !!!
i love it !!!
i need it !!!
SaM, 27 May 2008hopefully nokia will learn from sony erikson about batteries !! and does the screen move when ... moreYes sam it does. it has an accelerometer that detects how the phone is being held and will flip the screen to the appropriate landscape or portrait view.
and as for the battery, i don't mind charging it once a day. i always charge my phone before i go to bed anyway.
hopefully nokia will learn from sony erikson about batteries !! and does the screen move when u turn the screen 2 the sides ?
who cares how big the screen is, QVGA looks like crap when its bigger than 2.6!
It has a accelometer sensor what is it is n96 a touch screen
