no vga screen = no good
We hope the future All-in-one flagship Nseries N98 or N99 will be S60 Touch screen with a superb camera
I love the design of this phone and features of this handset are very impressive.
Just to be very picky, I'm dissapointed that there is no touchscreen.
Nokia needs to get with the times now. Samsung and SE have already developed phones with touchscreen, and (I think) Nokia has yet to produce a touchscreen handset.
Had this been a touchscreen handset and release at the same time as the iPhone, the N96 would've been serious competition against the iPhone.
nice phone hmmmmmmmm nokia is the best producer ever
a friend of mine who deals with mobile phones says that this models has already come out in europe and the US. can anyone confirm?
all the things are good except battery. come on nokia. be serious with battery life.
dual sim means you can insert 2 different carrier
you guys, stop asking where the phone is available. it wont b available for a while....not until about august
could some one send this to nokia for me? since i'm too lazy...
please fix the n96, it is too fat! but the features are awesome even with the bulkiness of the phone. make your n97 or whatever thinner!!!! thanks.
Excellent phone. You can play mpeg, wmv and other formats using coreplayer

Hello GSMArena.com readers.
Seems like the majority of opinions regarding the Nokia N96 turned positive since my last visit to this forum. I'm very glad to see this.
Unfortunately, there are still many critics, iGsm for example, who steadily post incorrect information and preaches on about topics whom he/she clearly have no education in.
First and foremost, the Nokia N96 and the Nokia N95 uses two different processing chips. The Nokia N95 features the Texas Instruments OMAP 2420, while the Nokia N96 will be incorporating a CPU from STMicroelectronics. I won't quote the exact model cause there are a number of sources detailing the device with different models.
Secondly, your comment "...will be unable to manage the music and videos fast" is both wrong technically and in the sense you are trying to state.
A device's "slowdown" is not from the amount of data storage you have, but from the amount of data the processor is trying to access and process.
When discussing how music and/or videos are going to be "managed" regarding mobile handsets, the common reference is data transferring.
The Nokia N95 supports USB 2.0 Full Speed via mini USB port. The Nokia N96 supports USB 2.0 Hi Speed via micro USB port.
Read the difference.

Lastly, you and others alike comments on the battery life and how the device's longevity doesn't meet your standards are quite trivial. What does matter is how the Nokia N96 compare to its predecessors, and to be frank, the Nokia N96 does an excellent job.
Yup it's a good cellphone but it still cannot play mpeg, vob, dat & wmv video
It's not worth replacing my N95 8GB with this one since 99% the same functionality. I'll just wait for their touchscreen unit. Come on NOKIA, it's been a long time but until now you don't have touchscreen unit even your most high-end doesn't have this feature. Unlike SE, they produce decent mobile phones while NOKIA produce cheap "plasticky" phones.
I love this phone!!! can some1 please let me know when it comes out..... i really want to buy it
n96 rox!!!!
