Dear friends, despite having a 950 mAh battery, N96 is more capable than N95 8GB. Referring to mobile-review.com's hands on review, here's the battery comparison:
* GPS-navigation – 3 hours
* Video – 4.5 hours (rated at 5 hours, the Nokia N95 8Gb lasted 3.5 hours).
* WEB surfing (over EDGE) – 3 hours (same 3 hours on the N95 8Gb).
* Wi-Fi (non-stop data upload) – 3.5 hours (N95 8Gb – 3 hours).
* Music (in headphones) – 13.5 hours (rated at 14 hours, the Nokia N95 8Gb – at 10 hours)
* TV (only for the N96) – up to 5 hours.
They also wrote, "We are confident the phone will easily last 2 days even in the most extreme usage mode (except for non-stop web-browsing), and if you are planning to use nothing but its voice calls, then expect 3-4 days of operation, depending on how much time you spend on the phone." -- http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-n96-en.shtml
hey guy's i loved this phone n96... when it will release? 3Q of 2008?? it is JULY?
i'm also using nokiaN95 8GB. there's a lot of differences from the new N96. first it has 16gb internal memory plus u can put an 8gb memory card, then it has a tv broadcast receiver in which you can watch your fav. tv shows which the n95 don't have. so i'll be buying the n96 as soon as its available in the market. i hope they'll make a nokia n96i that have a touchscreen feature.
Yes, but if for people who doesn't have N95 yet?:-)
Hi, everyone.I'm now using N95 8GB.
I don't find anything great in N96.Its almost the same.So,its better to have N95 8 GB.I would suggest Nokia to make the body of the upcoming cell phones with steel body.
hi nokia N96 it is very good but very bad is battery. battery should increase 9h talk time and +400h standby example phones sonyericsson wihich feck phones increased powered battrey
Hey where's the pencil key???????? How can such high-end phone doesnt come with pencil key?

Dear The Front Multimedia Keys is For Those Whi Love portrait Screen Display & Slider Keys Is For Those Who love Landscape Display.
In landscape Mode u wont be able To Use D pad multimedia keys. And I wanna tell u one thing that Slider Not contains only Muisc Keys it also Contains Two Gaming Keys.
After all I would Be The First Person Who will have This Nokia N96, Because I have Won It from Some Where [Don't ask me From where]. But This Phone Is Currently Delayed so i will get in Next Month or In first Week of June and This Cell phone will be in market in last week of July.
hi to All....
I HAVE B QUESTION FOR YOU ALL...
There are already multimedia keys on the front panel of N96 around the d-pad .then why they made it a dual slider!which have multimedia keys!
Think people..when the keys already present on front face then y to slide it up to reveal the same keys...please give justification of your answer.i have n95 8gb and i am nokia lover.bt this device dont need dual slidr and they just made it becuse they want n95 8gb ownerz to purchase it.but it doesnt make any sence of dual slidr....please give me your openions about this....thanx to All..
I think I'm Ok for now using N95 8gb and just wait for NOKIA's really high-end unit (touchscreen like most of SE models). It's a waste of money to have N96 which is almost the same with N95 8gb. NOKIA - we need something really exciting not all N-series are the same, it's boring already.
I totally agree with rixwyn, if this phone had touchscreen and a better battery, it would be the "Perfect Gadget"
i suggest you wait for the 3rd gen apple iphone or the 2nd gen nokia 5800xpressmedia aka tube.i think over a year these phones will be great as the competition would have heated up therefore they will have great features.in other words save your cash for a year
WOW...such a great phone, but talk time only 3hr 40m?!?!? Ouch, i mean imagine taking it out for pictures, some videos, GPS for directions for a bit, Maybe even listen to music for a while (with the 16GB), & of course to mention talking on the phone with some frds...AND before the end of the day, the battery is DEAD. That would be kinda Lame and Embarrassing for having a so-call King of Phone. I have used the 6110 Navigator before, not that high-end, but used with GPS and only 2mp camera and normal flash, the battery is DEAD already within a day. Imagine this N96 with all THAT feature and screen...i guess u know what i mean...=)
n95-8gb is better
