The n95 8GB uses a 1200Mah battery which last longer then the one of n96. With an adequate trimming the battery can fit inside the n96. There are also some other things that could improve batt life. In the first 3 charges keep the battery for a couple of hours charging until it's full and don't charge it again until it's completly empty. This cicle is crucial in the beggining. Also even after that keep the battery charging for a couple of hours even if if it shows it has been completly recharged. Also make sure that the wi-fi,bluetooth and GPS are closed when you don't need them.Adjust the brightness of display to half power,(it's enought) and also set the light time out to 15-20 seconds. Good luck!

I have been reading the reviews and its hard for me to believe that a flagship mobile could have such a weak battery as described in some of the comments what about activating the power saving modes on the mobile has anyone done that and is there a difference in battery life thereafter? I would like to purchase the mobile I don't listen alot to music maybe 30 min a day and a hour or two on the internet and a few calls max 10 in a day would this use up all the battery life? if so then I think I should reconsider. Owners of this mobile please reply and advise?

Can anyone just name one phone t... moreJames,I agree that n96 is a good phone I still haven't sold mine and still use it sometimes. But wordwide the n96 was not considered a succes for Nokia. Nokia lost the smartphone segment in the perior of n96 and n97 and they are trying to get it back with n8 and soon N9. The main feature the dvb tunner didn't help n96 to be a best seller,a relatively small procentage of costumers worldwide being interested in that feature. That technology was nothing new Samsung launching some phones with it. And and about the memory...few people actually need that much storage space. The 8GB of n95 was enought for many. And there are also memory cards. Nokia should have have made a more powerfull proccesor ,Ram memory and made sure that n96 doesn't lag and restarts so often. Most users would have preffered that instead of a dvb tunner!
Nokia N96 made me watch Messi's 19th goal in 16 appearances today.
Barcelona 3 - 1 Villareal
Villa 1 1 Nilmar

The display is amazing, blazing fast, tons and tons of apps, hd video recording. The n96 is a good phone I admit that, let's be honest, it can't be compared with Galaxy.

is it possible to put a battery of greater power in t6he cell in order to compensate for this weak one?
I love the way nokia N96 is made. All the the functions are so easy to use and useful. It has entertainment, work and everthing what i wanted. So, it has made my work really easy and i Have access everywhere. So, i will suggest many to use this cellphone...

The new touchscreens like Galaxy9000, X10 and N8 are so big (+-4") so they don't fit into top pocket easily and they are so thin that if they are in your back pocket, I think they will crack in half.
They also need a hell of a lot of data (downloads) to make them any thing decent.
I'm looking for a phone that is a good phone with a couple of extras, not a mini computer. N96 should do just fine! You certainly won't miss a call 'cos they ring so loud.
This may be my first Noksia since a 3210 (black 'n white screen). I've had SE's since then.
Nokia N96 is a modern computer entertainment tv mobile phone. Can anyone just name one phone that have all the features in Nokia N96 such as: 16 gigabytes storage, micro card slot, dual arm cpu, radio, digital tv channels feature, best camera lens 'Carl Zeiss', 3d stereo speakers and kick stand.

Bwalya H, 09 Nov 2010Please where can i purchase a genuine Nokia N96? It's nowhere to be seen here in Zambia.Zambia!.
A bit far from me, MTN deals are only valid in South Africa. I hope they still have stock for me. There are too many replica N96's out there, so be careful where you buy one if you can find one. Replicas usually only have a 7 day warranty!

thanks. It is original Nokia with 2yrs warantee.
I will go and check it out further. The monthly price is low so I will still have spare cash for an added data bundle, all for less than the cost of an android phone.
