WTH!!!!! Check out for N95 bat life. It says up to 6 hrs.. But wht's the fact we got?? Very poor bat life!!! So can you guys imagine wht's this N96 bat life gonna be!!!??? It only says up to 3hrs sumtin.. GEEZ!!! Why NOKIA always do the same mistake over and over again??! This's such a GREAT phone (judging frm the specs) .. why should it end up with a freakin poor bat life??! WHAT A WASTE....
Ps.
And I bet U guys sure can also imagine the price!! Nokia never puts up a reasonable price for their N-Series phone!
looks rad!
id buy one if i had money! hahaha!
prob be about 1700!
wouldnt be surprized!!!
the n95 is still 1299 here in oz!!!
givee me summ money!!
People nseries is not for pictures only nseries with a 5mpx camera and 30 frames per second to record at night will need a led flash so nokia include in the n96 a dual led flash in youtube you can see how it works and its really bright!!
this cel fone is perfect
They should put some stronger batery. At least 1400mAh . I am owner of Nokia N95 and this have even larger display.
Well, i can say that this phone is the best i ever seen, and no other company will be able to reach NOKIA at this point now with the fantastic NOKia N96
yo guys just wait till the touch screen edition of this comes
to finish, get a display ? needs to be top, play music ? we want super ear plugs and real sound blaster speakers, enough of these -fly trapped in envelopp-kind of sounds. And hey? kinda like Symbian systems but a little more speed to open files and appps would be great.Plus, when i want to wallpaper,i'd like that pic to be full screen at once and not be obliged to theme it to enjoy.thats about it. instead of critics, ask for what you really want from your phone and we'll get there, eventually
read some critics, some answers to those, fact of the matter is,this model can and will be improved, but for the moment,a 16gb plus card plus 16m colours display on a 2.8 screen, plus tv receiver and the 5mg,even the radio is top, this phone is a dream.for the battery war though, there are new techs out there,a new improved lithium battery, hope to see it soon, because the fuel cell battery is crap.why ? because you will NEVER be allowed to fly with it,plus, holding an explosive device near your ear that doesn't even make tik-tok isn't extremely cool,it's crazy ! really don't care if that kind of battery lasts a month, don't accept this people or next,we'll get nuclear powered phones, and we'll need to have 3 of those to stick to our 4 ears and hold with 3 hands.one full day of heavy duty is good, two days of that is great.more is ridiculous.regards, coolworld
N96 doesnt have 3d acceleration?! Common nokia then its meant to be an update do n81, a n81 overpowered, cause it cant be an update do n95 without 3d card.
looks like a nice mobile, but it dosent do it for me....same "old" stuff...when are we going to see S60-touch??
I own an N958GB. The N96 with its 16GB is very welcome but I expect the battery to be a flop... like in the case of the simple N95. So maybe you should wait till a new N96+ comes out before you decide!!! It will go like this, believe me!!! Otherwise you will bite the dust like those who went for the N95...
If only Nokia could improve the N96's battery life... and make it slimmer... It's still a huge brick in contrast with other similar phones... Nice specs, though!

Thanks for the complement.
Nokia actually did address all requests for the Nokia N95. They replied with two models. The Nokia N95 8gb and the Nokia N82.
The Nokia N82 offered enhanced features Nokia users requested: card slot, xenon, non slider form, RAM, increased battery capacity, etc. Naturally adding a card slot and a bigger battery increased the size of the phone.
Nokia noticed an unsettling trend... New hardware... Bigger battery... Even bigger phone. As time goes on, more and more technology will be introduced to the mobile world.
I ask you, is the solution to newly introduced technology slapping in a bigger battery each time?
For many the question is "Yes!" Well if that's the case, I guess sooner or later we all will be sporting the size of the first cell phones, the TRUE brick.
Nokia is only company to recognize and address this issue. Thus the Nokia N96.
Replying to the flash comment, maybe you're not just grasping the concept. High-current LED flashes are just as good, and in some cases better, in terms of light energy than their Xenon flash counterparts. THE MAIN ADVANTAGE IS SIZE. Don't forget the advantages of high current LEDs used in video recording mainly battery consumption. But I'm sure you and other people's solution will be a bigger battery. Same old cycle.
In addition, the key to clear pictures is Light Energy - the total amount of light that fills a camera's pixels during image-capture time. Light power, along with flash exposure time is used to calculate Light Energy: light power (lux) x flash exposure time (secs) = Light Energy (lux.secs). Ten to fifteen lux.secs of Light Energy is ideal for high-resolution pictures. I suggest you re-read my posted article and pay close attention to the expose times of xenon compared to high current LEDs.
The sole and only purpose of a digital camera is to take pictures. Size isn't a factor so yes xenon is used. Last time a checked, this isn't a camera site. So stop comparing a DIGITAL CAMERA to a MULTIMEDIA DEVICE.
Still no document editor?? LAME!
This phone has everything its like all the nokia phones put into one the only thing thats new is the OS and the 16 gigs im guessing its gonna lag as well 2 much programs got put into this phone and looks plane the should'v made something new
Good old nokia, take 2 phones n95+n81, put them together ! what do u get ? n96 genius.
ALL.
I enjoin everyone to read MR. YING analysis of the N96 which clears all ambiguities.
I don't like reading people contributing to this GSM ARENA complaining of battery and design. Simply put: Different designs should not be miscontrued to ''a single design''.
No battery is expected to last more than ONE day with heavy use. S.E. battery is not better than NOKIA battery. S.E. will tell you that their battery last 9 or 12hrs. This can be true without using at all. I use both Nokia & S.E.
Over and above, in every ten people with Mobile phones, Nokia accounts for 60 - 70%. This places NOKIA above other phones. The reason is not far-fetched.
