Two more points. SE X1 looks formidable. It has the slide-out QWERTY coupled to reasonable multimedia features. Note that there are already 12 pages of reader's opinions; more than any of the new phones announced at the Mobile World Congress. Nokia better get onto the slide-out bandwagon.
I cannot believe that Nokia have underpowered the battery after all the complaints about the N95.

N96 looks more modern than N95 8GB. If I had the choice between the two I would definitely go for the N96 simply because of the expandable memory. Yet I agree with Trinity. Nokia needed to do something strikingly different eg couple rich multimedia features with a slide-out full QWERTY keypad.

DVB-H TV broadcast receiver? It is not that enjoyable with a crappy battery! I guess this explains why it opted for 2 LED's instead of Xenon! I do like the juicy 16GB on board as well as the added SD slot. I just hope the interface is ergonimicaly friendly. I hope they can fit the BL-6F there or even better a higher capacity cell as an upgrade and hoping for a 3.2" display wont be pushing it too much!:)

this is a nice phone but no replacement for the n95-1 .
we need to see 7-8 mp camera phones now ...

The only real impressive thing about this phone is the 16 GB + expandable memory. Besides that, we're looking at the same thing over again. The keys are not even raised for proper feedback and in all honesty, the N958GB has a better look. For me to sell my 8GB for a new phone it needs to have a keyboard and/or touch screen with great animation like the X1 or iphone. Yes I'm a Nokia fanboy, but even I can admit when Nokia has its flaws.

Why? Why? Why? Why do we now have to wait till the end of 2008 to get this phone? I really want to get it right now. Nokia should have released it right now in order to suppress the sales of the apple iphone. I be Naija Boy!

Wow! this phone is great since Ive been planning to get a phone which dvb-h tv and of course at the same time 5mp camera and a phone with WIFI.... well needless to say this has great memory....and everything....
I wouldnt ask for anything more!!

(although i wouldnt say anything about the looks coz its sooo close to the N81 lol!)

ive got N95 and im still loving it, im dissapointed with this phone being N96 higher model number than N95 only cause of the bigger screen and internal memory and minor tweaks.
what i dont like is battery life ofcource,, and that its black, never been a fan of black mainly at front of hpone, if was half silver at front like n95 then would be good. but soz ill be passing on this till i hope the rumoured N98 comes to life
