[deleted post]N900 childish? Can you elaborate on whats so childish about N900? Its the best at what its good at, for example web surfing.

Lets pull up some complicated web pages and laugh at your HD2. Well, at least HD have flash support, but its not as good as N900 for this.

Windows on a cellfone, the only mobile OS with big loss in market share, going down the drain, what other OS in the history has managed to lose more than one third marketshare in ONE quarter? Its ofcorse unique, no other OS has ever been so bad, its a miracle they still can sell a single cellfone with WinMob.

Snapdragon cpu... No wonder it needs 1GHz, and still its slower than the cortex a8 at 600...

Well known things: terrible camera, bad display (sunlight legibility and color gradients banding), no xvid or divX outofthebox, and inconsistent flash support. All those things are great on N900...

And i hope Nokia will never be stupid enough to use a 4'3 inch screen, HD2 is REALLY too big. If it had a higher resolution then it could be justified, but its same as N900... 800x480, who has that bad eyes that they need so big screen for that resolution? Its like for handicapped ppl.

leander, 02 May 2010nokia n96 better than nokia 5800?"n96 better than 5800?"
actually.. No. 5800 has great battery time, and hi res touchscreen, 640x360 vs N96 at 320x240. GPS is a bit better on 5800, but thats just my opinion. Also, it has wifi and 3g, and TV out, so they are kind of equal in connectivity. The cam on 5800 doesnt match N96, and it doesnt have that DVB receiver, if you will ever use it....

The camera and the 16gig internal + microSD card slot is the big advantage of N96. Disadvantage is screen resolution and battery, and internet surfing is ofcorse much better on a touchscreen. So you decide whats important to you =)

Ray, 30 Apr 2010Hay guys i really need ur help on ths one. I hve 2 choose between these 2 fones. Either a bran... morethats a hard one.. 5230 has some advantages, for example battery life, and much higher resolution + touchscreen. But it doesnt have Wifi! And so bad camera and not even a LED flash, while N96 is among the best camfones around. And memory, out of the box its 2gig vs 16 gig, thats 8x more for N96.

Personally i would get N96, but if you dont need quality photo/video and never use wifi anyway then maybe.... Depends on your personal priorities.

Monty, 30 Apr 2010haha, people. stop comparing the n95 8gb with the n96. MY N900 IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! and i u... morei wrote one of the recent long posts to compare N96 and N95-8GB. I also have an N900, and i dont campare it to these, thats so off topic... A used N96 cost less than 1/4 of an N900, a great phone for the price. Its still much better than brand new phones at a similar price.

But since you insist on comparing,,,, N96's cam is as good as N900, and the video recording is actually better (N900 drops frames, choppy videos..). No man, N96 is great for todays 2nd hand prices, highly recommended.

haha, people. stop comparing the n95 8gb with the n96. MY N900 IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! and i used to have a n95 8gb. but i never used a n96 before, so i can't really tell whether the n95 8gb is better or the n96. but one thing for sure, n900 is much better than these two phones put together.

okay this N96 is very strong with multimedia, perhaps the last multimedia phone made by nokia which not have touchscreen/qwerty, because it appear that nokia will continously using touchscreen/qwerty for the next phone they released.did it worthy to buy it? for me it YES
even im prefer this phone than iphone 3GS
great, can play mp4,16 gb memory awesome!,even this N96 has a same level with nokia xpressmusic version, awesome sound, great camera, and so many more
BUT it have 3 fatal weakness, based in my experience using it
- arm quite slow, slower than 5800,n95 8 gb,etc
- lack battery, if you using continously watching mp4,wifi,dvtb you will ended up charge the battery 2x/day
-THE MOST LACK POINT OF tHIS PHONE= no edit button, button which "pen" image in N95/7610/ other symbian phone
it a bigger loser for N96, you cannot copy and paste some document

zac, 23 Apr 2010N95 8gb is better"N95 8gb is better"

But why is it better? =)

I have both, and i like them both. N95 8GB is truly a masterpiece, but its not that much faster, and not really better.

I prefer N96 because its slimmer and design is more up-to-date, and it has 16GB memory AND a memory card slot. Keypad is ok on both, N95 8GB feels more solid and doesnt easily get a slack, sliding mechanism is excellent and solid. Now thats a problem with N96 but its not a big deal, its not like its falling off.

For some maybe the infrared on N95 8GB is important, but noone would ever use it instead of bluetooth so whats the chance of you ever using it?

A weird thing with N95 8GB is the 3.5mm Audio/TV jack, what is it doing there on the left side??? N96 has the jack on top where all mp3 phones should have it.

The gallery button of N95 8GB is nice! But the keylock switch of N96 is also nice.. (even if it has a very bad location)

And this is important... Video light! N96 is much better for video recording, both because of more memory and the dual LED flash/videolight. Imagine if your girlfriend agree to some private video session and there is not enough light, or shes shy to turn on the light, or you ran out of storage space? Heheh, bad example? But it could happen, and that day N96 would be your savior! =D

I had a N95 8GB last year. Sold it a few months back. Just bought N96 last week. Got to say that the N95 8GB is still abit faster. Battery life in both of them is the same. I like the N96's Design it's more modern and stylish and also the 16GB and the Camera is just as good.

It's just as good as the N95 8GB but with a newer design and more memory. I've also got a 8GB SD in mine so it has a wopping 24GB.

The speed is still quite fast. I am satisfied. I just don't want a N97
