pls i need help just want to know if im the only one experiencing this problem, because everytime i check for the latest firmware they are telling me no latest update, but i have read a lot of opinions and mine is already outdated. until now my firmware is 12.043. how can i upgrade my firmware? is there something wrong with my unit?

software version 30.033 is out yea more speed more features all of u who have branded phones need to take it to a nokia repair center if u cant get the update.Am on version 30 now and the phone is like the god of all phones

Worst model Nokia ever made. Very poor talk time- very slow and finally full operation is very very slow.N95 or N95 8GB were far better than N96. The regular Nokia users are very much disappointed with this N96.

I have a HK version N96, still no later update as V12.043 available. I read on the internet, already V20 and even v30 are released, why we in HK can not use the upgrades ?

Noman, 31 May 2009n96 battery timing is not good. and n95 simple also because both have same battery BL-5F. one ... morei watch full movie on n96 and battery life is still battery life is full

Just got the N96, love it at the moment (lets hope this continues). BUT the First thing you MUST do is download the Nokia upgrade software/plug in the usb/install the new firmware. Easy for even the non Tech people. My SIM Free handset upgraded from v12 to the new v30 firmware. Surely Nokia will have cured most faults with this update. Time will tell of course.
Perhaps most of the moaners on here are people with Branded handsets that can't upgrade the firmware to v30 yet or people who haven't upgraded the old firmwarethat came with the phone yet. Give it a go!

You should use N82 if you want t... moreHi m nokia fan, now i use N95 n I just bought n97. but i still like the slight up phone like n95 n n96, also most of my staffs too. will nokia make n series slight up like n96 feature with biger screen(ex: 2.8 to 3.2 with touch screen) and battery life longer, Camera 12mg, CPU stroger? it will be great IF SO.

the phone is damn slow and always hang.. the batt drains real fast.. i was too excited bout getting the phone back then i didnt quite care bout the size but now i kinda realize that its almost the same size as a brick, like the ones in the wall in my room. lousy phone. nokia is really making a statement thru this phone, that nokia is a cheap brand, for expensive cost.

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2009those VGA videos waste the memory and they aren't clearer.I've watched a VGA@25 fps photograph... moreIf you're videoing using N96 then you won't get clear videos. You should use N82 if you want to shoot real DVD quality videos.
