Great phone, may be tricky to keep properly working, but i bought mine from US Nokia and also have an E90, it is a bit more reliable the E90. But N97 is still quite a great phone, needs a lot of care though, 3rd party app for taskmanager and keep a good 50-60MB RAM free and your problems for performance are solved. Great phone but awaiting new N Series launch on Nov-Dec 2010 with intel inside!!!
Has nokia releasd any software update for N97? My current firmware version is 21.0.045.
Please let me know.
Not a good phone at all in the TOUCHSCREEN community. Supposedly a touchscreen phone, but the screen gets dead and hangs and the motherboard of the touchscreen gets spoiled because it is 'TOUCHED' note this very clearly...the touchscreen of this phone is extremely bad....! to top it up, the nokia warranty is not global...and touchscreen isnt covered. Now come on...for a touchscreen phone...shouldnt the touchscreen be a part of the warranty coz it is the most vulnerable part of the phone? (i have to say that the touchscreen is the vulnerable part coz it is not an iPhone :) Nokia screen are no way close to an iPhone!) so if they are having such screwed up touchscreens, then they should put that in the warranty by default! but Nokia i should say is misleading us big time. I had been an avid fan of Nokia for last 12-14yrs...until i got myself this phone...and boom! the bubbles broken now. And its not just my phone but i got this phone for my husband, bother and bother in law...and everyones touchscreen are having a problem within the use of first 6months only! and its not like i bought the phone in one shop too...! 2 i got in Auckland, NZ and 2 from a Nokia showroom in Mumbai, India. and all the phones are having a problem! its such an unbelievable thing. For a company like Nokia, i loved! and now i get this. And what worst annoyed me is they dont have a warranty for things like these!!!
My note...PLEASE DONT BUY THIS PHONE. IF you really want a touchscreen phone go for iPhone. Coz thats what i am compelled to do now, within 6months of buying this phone. Will be getting the 'motherboards' sorted and then sell the phone and buy an iPhone.
Hey N97 owners, please...

Well it's looks like a good phone to me i'm currently using E66 and thinking changin it for N97. So guz wat do u think?
king, 20 Jun 2010how can install the adobe flash player in this phone..? that is the only problem i can't solve... moreAdobe flash player should be pre-installed. Are you able to watch you tube? or are you referring adobe reader?
N97 vs E90? E90 is fully functional. N97 has had too many firmware problems and repeatedly hangs. I have both. Nokia fan. But E90 is, by far, a more reliable phone. N97 is all hype.
