How can you tell if this is an original Nokia N97 not the cheap China copy.
So what happened to the firmware 2.1 update? Some mobile sites were claiming it would be available at the turn of the new year. Anyone been able to update yet? I had to hard reset last night because my phone wouldn't reboot. I tried the memory card trick for almost an hour, all to no avail. Luckily I backed up my stuff just the other day. I just hope the new firmware fixes this reboot problem - even if it's only temporary! I don't switch the phone off in the usual way anymore (don't use power button) but when I want to reboot, I use jbak taskman. That usually works, but last night it didn't...
I LOVE THIS PHONE... guess mine is the original N97 no complain, guys make sure u have got the original phone not the cheap China copy.

junior g, 10 Jan 2010 > heard very dificult to reset this device, is it true ? ado you mean hard reset? it's pretty easy to hard reset if you want to, just back up all your data. most apps will be recovered (either automatically detected by the phone after the reset, or restored from backup) but some will need to be reinstalled (eg googlemaps). for me, it takes about an hour after a hard reset to get my phone back the way it was prior. not too bad imho, but some people don't have the patience.
