I can't make decision now after seeing the mini version of n97!

There are plenty of articles online that show you how to do this- just google it for n97. A hard reset wipes the phone's memory clean, restoring the factory settings so you will lose all your settings and data (assuming you didnt get a chance to backup your data before the phone crashed). You won't lose data on the e drive. If a hard reset doesn't work, then the only thing left is to take it back to where you got it and ask them to look at it, or take it to a nokia care point. But i'd be very surprised it the hard reset doesn't work.

N97 is also a great phone indeed (I own one). If the camera is your first priority then the 12MPixel of the Pixon12 should be good enough, or the 8 MPixel of the OmniaHD. You do have choices other than the N97 and Satio.

I just wish the third party symbian developer can offer this onscreen qwerty for n97!
Nokia can offer us option to turn the on screen qwerty on or off, onam sure everyone I happy!
If n98 is just the update version of n97, then things would not be going well for nokia
nokia must make their phone more intresting or more like a toy + serious stuff
must make the touch screen intresting ex stantum multituouch to attract the customer!
Nokia! Go licence the stantum multitouch on n series
and nokia need to set a new standard for the n series hardware spec! Ex 256ram and 600mhz and 1800mah battery
Am tied between nokia97 or sony ericsson satio.. 12mp wifi and the sony brand for speaker systems .. only downside is it costs 30K and isnt readily available..

A... moreWhy would you need an on-screen QWERTY keyboard when you have a hardware keyboard? To me, it makes sense why Nokia decided not to implement it on the N97. It is necessary to have an on-screen keyboard on phones like the 5800 XM which don't have a hardware keyboard. But that is my opinion.
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2009Good suggestion to nokia

, upgrade th... moreI agree with you on that one, Nokia really needs to take consumer opinions seriously sometimes. What is the use of having 32GB of Memory but 128MB RAM? Applications need more memory to run at their optimum best. If Nokia could have let this phone have at least 512MB ram or even 256MB, I'm sure it would be quite snappy. And DiVX/XviD would be really appreciated considering that some manufactures are including them in their recent phones (namely Samsung and LG). If Nokia plans on introducing the successor of the N97 (I suggest) it should at least have the following features:
*8MP camera with face & smile detection, touch focus, etc.
*32GB Memory plus MicroSD slot
*At least 600MHz or 800MHz processor
*30fps video recording PLUS slow-mo and time-lapse video recording
These are the key features I think Nokia still need to work on in order to make the best of their touchphones.
I think third symbian developers are sleeping!
Why there is no on screen qwerty for n97?
And the mini qwerty for n97?
The games for symbian now always come after iPhone os:(
Only those who were rejected by apple are making me happy with their great apps for symbian v5
they say this 1800mah battery last for 20%longer than the original 1500mah nokia battery!
And It is in the same form factor as original nokia abttery for n97!
What screen protector do you recommend?

REDeSign The Nokia Old ICons!!!!!!!! Hehe
Slow and crappy. That's my verdict for Nokia's current flagship products. I've tried both N86 and N97, not thinking of trying mini.
Nokia clearly did not do any field study, or took considerations of customers feedback, or perform any Beta testing.
Both device i tried came with great apps and functions but the hardware is incapable to handle all the great features of the device. To make things worse, teh system is inefficient in managing RAM. Thus it hangs / freeze and restart all the time.
Firmware update only made it worst ... in my case. I couldnt use N-gage and video editing. And Blutooth Pairing was affected. Only solved after teh care center reset it back to original version.
So Nokia need to consider the following:
1. Bigger RAM for future products
2. Bigger RAM is useless if the system is inefficient. Develop software similar to MemoryUpPro, Y-Tasks and others to manage RAM better.
3. Include photography software, better software that manage timing of flash and lens capture to enable it taking picture of fast moving objects.
4. Simplify softwares. e.g. Ovi Suite is heavier than Nokia PC Suite. So i imagine taht the apps and firmware in the devices are worst. Come on Nokia, is your programming team that lazy?
5. Decent flash that improve pictures, not those piece of krap installed on N97 and N86.
