Anonymous, 02 Nov 2009Hey to all! Wona ask you something. I have this phone but i have alot of problems. Alot of ... moreType *#7370# in the search opinion portion so you can see the post by user who goes by the name of n97 expert. Too bad it got buried deeply.
Hey to all!
Wona ask you something. I have this phone but i have alot of problems. Alot of freezing, .. And sometimes i have black screen and after that he restart.. Anyone have any idea what to do?
I just had my n97 updated to ver.20. Its very fast now for accessing the web.It has kinetic scrolling in all menus. You can also change or pause your music from the main screen widget.Hold down for 1 extra second for a number on the hardware qwerty top row.If i find anything else thats new,i will post it on here.
I saw a N97 and It stuck.
I hope this is not going to happen with all the N97.
It's beautiful but It has that problem.
I hope is an isolated case
Guys, does any body knows why each time I try to update software it tells me (not enough memory 4 update. Delete some data and try again )7 I have checked my memo... I still have on it a lot of room ?
i am really sick of this ppl posting stupid comments about ipone on nokia n97 forum! No seriously man get a life! There can be only two reasons for doing that.
1. Ther are payed by apple to do that
2. They are not satisfied with thier ipones and jelous of nokia owners.
Seriously why would some iphone owner go to nokia forum and post comments about nokia how they were loosing money?! why would u care about that? go to apple forum and post millions of comments if u like!
I personaly own n97 and i am so happy with it and i dont care if nokia or apple is winning and loosing!
N97 the best till now!
Greets from Macedonia!
hello, what's all this crap about apple IPHONE or ipod,i Think you need some mental check-up, stop trying to console yourself because you can't afford this amazing phone (Nokia N97), too many restrictions, besides what's an iphone owner or fan doing on the nokia N97 forum, think about it, Nokia is simply the best no doubt about that!!!
Anonymous, 01 Nov 2009Thanks Alex, and yeah about what you pointed out, sorry my bad.
Another point to note is the ... moreWorking on the Street I am familiar with the legal action issue over the patents, it is a long uphill struggle for Nokia, no judge is going to award unreasonable licensing fees over those patents if due at all as they are going to compare what other companies paid.In most cases it was free cross licensing and it would be worth at the most a couple of hundred million, still peanuts for Apple.
Alex, 01 Nov 2009Sorry but you are the ignorante one, the guy is right and by the way the quarter is the fourth... moreThanks Alex, and yeah about what you pointed out, sorry my bad.
Another point to note is the fact that Nokia is suing Apple over the infringement of a dozen of patents.
They might probably snatch those billion(s) away from Apple.
Some additional news about Apple accounting practices,
these guys are desperate to control profits rather than post losses like Nokia, better be careful aebout comments over Apple profitability as it is staggering !
From CNN.Com :
A recent change in generally accepted accounting principles allows the company to declare revenue from iPhone sales as it comes in, rather than spread out over the two-year span of customers' contracts. Apple has not yet changed its accounting practices, but if it had, the company said it would have earned $12.3 billion.
This is first time I come across some one really proud of being a customer of the company which make good profit. I'm not a fan of any phone, I will take any phone which can fulfill my need and good for my money. I'll be very upset if I know someone making huge profit on my back
Dino, 01 Nov 2009He's right! Talk about ignorance, huh.Sorry but you are the ignorante one, the guy is right and by the way the quarter is the fourth NOT the third like you wrongly say and it is 1.67 billion but prorata subscription accounting system spread over the subscription period otherwise IT IS several billions ! not one billion read :
Apple Reports Fourth Quarter Results
Most Profitable Quarter Ever; Record Mac and iPhone Sales
CUPERTINO, California—October 19, 2009—Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2009 fourth quarter ended September 26, 2009. The Company posted revenue of $9.87 billion and a net quarterly profit of $1.67 billion, or $1.82 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $7.9 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.14 billion, or $1.26 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 36.6 percent, up from 34.7 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 46 percent of the quarter’s revenue.
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Yeah, Yeah, go away. Dont ever come back on this forum. If you read the 3rd quarter result on www.apple.com (if you know how) you would see (if you know how to read) that they have made the billion (without an 's') by selling macbook + ipod + iphone. Not just the iphone as you want to believe. Nokia is yet to enter laptop market.
Anonymous, 01 Nov 2009This is ridiculous. Do You work for Apple? Apple gaining (or better still 'printing') billion... moreLets not get personal guys. By the way comparing Apple and Nokia is not fair in todays terms. Apple is an innovation based company that thrives on trend setting technologies. They some how make ends meet. But if their innovation works, they make billions. Their only steady product over the years is Mac. They dont even lead the market in that dept. That tells a lot about Apple. iPod is an innovation that is bound to fade in the face of converging tech. Nokia on the other hand is a market leader (even if many refuse to accept) with a policy of a wide portfolio. They have a commitment towards its consumers to release a wide range of products every year and so they have to continue R&D towards not only keeping their portfolio refreshed but also develop innovative technologies. Now in this global recession period if Nokia has incurred losses that doesnt mean their company is doomed. Their efforts will surely pay off and they will bounce back monetarily as their new phones will kill all other phones (including future iPhones).
Anonymous, 01 Nov 2009So telling that Apple is printing billions and Nokia is losing billions is a lie ?
You sure y... moreThis is ridiculous. Do You work for Apple?
Apple gaining (or better still 'printing') billions, Nokia losing billions.
Seems like Apple is stealing money from you-know-who.
