My multitasking involves web browsing on opera mini, music in background and sometimes chatting on fring. I've received calls during this and the only problem i've experienced was that sometimes fring signs out so i just have to sign back in. I've gotten no low memory errors, and i've noticed no lagging. I've had the phone for a month and have been able to multitask quite seamlessly.

The window doesn't minimise or anything. What you do if you want to multitask is 'hide' the app by tapping on 'hide' then you can open up another app. Or alternatively you can just press the menu button on the bottom left hand side of the phone and open up another app from there. There is always an 'options' key at the bottom of the page, and when you tap on 'show open apps' you can multitask back and forth between apps.

i hope nokia will release new version of this phone, maybe higher camera pixel and a touch pad when using the touch interface. .
I've had this phone for over a month and it works perfectly, the display is great, great colors, great sound, and all the applications work in an excellent way (even the camera, it takes amazing pictures!!) I strongly recommend this phone
mr anonamus, 25 Oct 2009Can anybody tell about the browser? How's it feel? And does Opera Mobile 9.5 has s60 ver.?The built-in browser is ok, not great. I would definitey recommend downloading opera mini or something similar. The biggest disadvantages imo are: no multiple tabs; when you want to go 'back' to a page it reloads it again; and you can't scroll or do anything on a page until it's finished loading. The general user experience is average at best, and often too many taps are required. But one thing that is excellent in my experience is that youtube vids load very fast.

this phone is quite awesome but i asked a lot of people about it they told me that n97 contains lot of problems like the slide which can be easy broke ... and then u hv to pay about 100$ to repair it
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2009I do not understand if the IPHONE 3GS is so much better than the NOKIA N97 then why the averag... more"better" really depends on what you want from your phone. Ignore online polls because they don't always tell the full story. If you're trying to choose between the n97 and iphone, you should try both out and see which suits your needs better. I love my n97, but imo when it comes to ease of use, user friendliness, web browsing, performance speed and apps, the iphone 3gs is better. It's practically idiot proof. Be mindful that the n97 has suffered from bugs and instability issues, and if you don't have the patience to wait for firmware updates then you probably shouldn't try your luck and just go with the iphone. It is generally the more polished device. But if you're willing to spend a bit of time to get accustomed to the phone, n97 has more features and is the more complete phone.

What's probably happened is that the lens protector has scratched the lens with repeated use. Nokia has acknowledged this design flaw, as the cover was mounted too close to the lens. If your phone is still under warranty, take it back to where you bought it. You could also take it to a nokia care centre, apparently you could get it fixed for free as this is a well known problem.
